New Eye Doctor
Hello my dear friends, this is a late Monday post. Sorry, but I had an appointment today with a new eye doctor. They did several tests on me, and dilated my eyes. I was not able to see until now. The doctor's name is Dr. Lee, and he was very nice. Basically, he said there is nothing he can do for me to improve my vision. My right eye is the worse, but both eyes cannot be improved. He said the cataract that is in my left eye is directly in the middle of the eye, right in the line of my vision, removing the cataract might help a tiny bit, but will not improve my vision. He is sending me to a doctor who is a specialist in neuro-ophthalmolgy, he will be doing tests, and checking me for neurological eye problems, problems of the eye socket, and problems of the back of the eye. They will be calling me in the morning with an appointment, please keep me in your prayers. I love you all very much.

Sweet P's-Prayers, Petitions & Praise
Hello everyone, I hope you will link up with us today, and join our hearts together in prayer. There are so many in need of our love and prayers. Dear heavenly Father, I come to You on the behalf of my brothers and sisters that are hurting in so many ways. So many have buried wounds deep inside Father, please heal them. I hurt for those that do not know You Father, please open their eyes, and hearts before it is too late. Let us that know You, and are blessed by having You as our Saviour, be willing vessels. May we daily seek out the lost, and dying. We cannot hide You inside, and be selfish. We must be selfless, and share You. You are a priceless gift that needs to be given away, oh Father, I want to give You away. I do not want anyone to suffer, and go to hell. Thank You for being the most sweetest, precious gift I have ever received. I love You Father.Thursday, August 26, 2010
Thankful Thursday
I am beyond thankful for my marriage. I am blessed to have my lovebug, and realize that more each day. He loves me with all of his heart, just as I am. He loved me when I weighed 258 pounds, and he loves me now that I weigh 150 pounds. He loved me when I had hair, and he continues to love me now that I have no hair. He loved me when I had eye lashes, and now that I have no eye lashes. He loved me when I had awesome vision, and now, when I can hardly see him. My point is, he loves me all the time, 100%. In the good times, he is right beside me, loving me, and cheering me on. In the hard times, he continues to be by my side, letting me know daily, that everything will be ok. I am so thankful that he is the one God chose for me. He totally completes me, he gets me like nobody else ever has, or could. I praise You Lord for my husband, please continue to bless my dear lovebug.Wednesday, August 25, 2010

God's Quiet Voice
Society thrives on noise. Cell phones, car horns, televisions, radios, announcements in airports and train stations – all of these sounds assault us constantly. They compete for our attention. All the while, God is waiting quietly. He is there in the silence waiting for us to find time for Him. When we are willing to turn off the world, He is ready to give us a peace that we cannot find anywhere else.
As we pray, read our Bible, and meditate on His word, we begin to realize that there is power in silence. It is there, in our solitude and communion with God, where we begin to comprehend that there is something much greater than the things we see around us each day. We give ourselves the chance to discover the mysteries of God’s universe.
From out of what seems like nothing, comes everything. Our life, our purpose, our very spirit, depend on what we cannot hear with our ears. We must listen with our hearts. God speaks to us through the power and authority of His unspoken word, not through the noises we are used to hearing.
God is always there. But the only way we can hear Him, is to get away from the sounds, and distractions of daily life. Then, and only then, will we recognize the great beauty, and magnificence of His voice.

Dancing With My Father
I woke up this morning with a huge smile on my face, and a desire to dance with my Father. So, that is what I did. I twirled around the living room in my long night shirt, praise music playing from my computer, dancing with my Father to my heart's delight. Such joy and contentment did I receive. He is the greatest dance partner ever. Forever I will seek Him out when I am in the mood to dance. Thank You Father for the early morning dance, now I know my day will be blessed. I love You.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone that left such encouraging comments on my video post. I appreciate all of your prayers, links, suggestions, everything. You all touched my heart with your kindness. May God bless each of you, as you blessed me. I love you all.

Sweet P's-Prayers, Petitions & Praise
Hello dear friends, today I am linking up with my sweet p picking sis Tiffany over at her blog Tea With Tiffany. Hope you consider joining in with us. I will be making a video tomorrow for fearless Friday, even though I know tomorrow is Saturday. Blessings to you all.Dear heavenly Father, I seek You today, and everyday. Please hear my voice as I cry out for the needs of so many that are hurting in various ways, and facing trials of every kind. Touch their lives as only You can do. You, and only You, know their needs fully. Where there is sadness, replace it with joy. Where there are tears falling, replace them with much laughter. Where there is pain, send healing. Where there is need of employment, send jobs. I ask these things in Your precious name Lord Jesus. I know You hear my pleas, and will answer , in Your way, and in Your time, which is always best. I praise You Lord Jesus for all You do in my live, and in other's lives. You are amazingly beautiful. Just one touch from You is all that is needed to bring hope to a hurting heart. I praise You for Who You are, and all You do . I love You with everything I am, today, tomorrow, and forever.

Thankful Thursday

My heart has been in a crazy place this week. As most of you know by now, I had to go to court on Monday. Praise God, everything worked out. I am also feeling much better physically. But, emotionally, things have been not so good. My dad took me to court on Monday, because lovebug had to work. He had not spoken to me since the incident happened regarding the pyramid scheme. Well, I could tell, he was still not happy with me, and he made that very clear. When he treats me this way, it really hurts. I feel as if I will never measure up in his eyes, he makes me once again realize that he did not want me born in the first place. He kept saying over and over again, you do not have anything, nor will you ever. You know you screw up, and you know you will again. So, after hearing these words all the way to the courthouse, and all the way back home, I get home totally stressed out. I begin to hear the words of satan pounding loudly upon the door of my heart, and in my ears. I figured he was ready to use all of his weapons, and I was right. The words from hell began to ring loudly in my ears: Denise, you know you were an attempted abortion, get a clue, you were not wanted from the very beginning of your pathetic life. You are a waste of life, you are just a sickly, ugly, going blind, no count woman. Go sit in the corner, have a major meltdown, and just disappear. Nobody cares. Well, those words cut deeply, hurt me badly, made me cry from deep within. Huge drops of tears were flowing from my weary eyes. But then, I reached way up, up toward the throne of my true Father. I raised my eyes toward where my redemption draws near. I called upon His precious name, as always. Mercy came running, I felt His arms around me, pulling me close to Him. My Abba had come to my rescue once again, and the enemy had ran away once again, taking his lies with him. I was meant to be here, my Father loves me, just the way I am. I belong totally to Him. I refuse to go away, or disappear. I have work to do for my Father, and that is what I am going to do. I rebuke you satan, and all of your lies. Get far behind me, you cannot steal my joy. Thank You once again for the rescue 911 Father. I love You.

In Other Words Tuesday

"Only when we understand that God has ordained our suffering can we begin to make sense of it.
Only then, can we be certain that He has a purpose in it.
When tragedy comes, when adversity strikes, we will not be shaken.
Yes, we will cry. Yes, we will grieve.
But we will move on confidently, knowing that God is on His throne,
that we are in His hand,
that our circumstances are His doing,
and that He is working them for our good."
~ Terry L. Johnson, When Grace Comes Home Such a great quote this week, and very true. I cannot believe it has been almost a year ago since my dear hubby almost died, and our adventure began. Eddie's sickness totally changed our world. We cried together, and grieved for the loss of feeling in his body. But, praise God we were able to move on, and experience so many blessed miracles given to us by our precious Father. There have been financial blessings beyond measure, and some financial set backs. We are choosing to move on in confidence, our Father is beside us all the way. Yesterday at the court house, the lawyer, and my Dad, kept saying to me over, and over, you do not have anything, and you never will. Your circumstances are not going to change in the future. Well, I totally disagree. I am resting securely in my Father's hands, He rules my nest. He knows my every circumstance, and provides my daily needs. I may not have earthy riches, or tons of material possessions, but that is ok. I have something money cannot buy, the promise, and blessed assurance of heaven divine. My Father, and His love, riches beyond compare. There is nothing else I desire, or need.

Where I Have Been-Part 2
Hello Friends, back home now. Wow,sooooooooooooooo glad to be back home. I had to go to general sessions court today over a bill that was made when lovebug was in the hospital. I have been very anxious over having to go, this is the first time in my life that I have ever had to go to court. Praise God, everything worked out in my favor. It was dismissed, do not have to pay it, or ever worry about it again. She said basically, due to my health problems, and the fact that I am not able to work, they dropped it. Thank you to those of you that prayed concerning this. Thank you to my precious Father, I love You Father. My friends, I promise to get caught up on leaving comments on your blogs, and sending emails. I love you all very much.

What Does Love Look Like In Your Home?
When my niece Kelli was growing up, she was constantly at our home. The memories that were made are priceless, and precious. Well, now, she is all grown up, married, and has a beautiful, ten month old baby boy named Zackary. This week has been a blessing at our home, she brought him for a visit. He is crawling now, go Zack go. More priceless, and precious memories are being made, thank You Lord. Love looks like beautiful, generational love here at our home this week.Tuesday, August 10, 2010
His Radiance
Bright as light. Jesus is the one true, and eternal Light. He illuminates the way, and enlightens the soul. He shines, and the darkness disappears. There is nothing that can compare to Jesus. “In Him,” according to scripture, “is life, and that life, is the Light of everyone.”
Many people thought that John the Baptist, was the one sent to save mankind. They asked if he was Elijah, the Christ, the Prophet. “I am the voice of one calling in the desert,” he answered. The gospel makes it clear, that John was only a witness to the Light who was coming. John was merely a messenger. His proclamation to the world? Prepare the road (the way) for the Lord.
We, too, are God’s messengers. We are not the Word, or the Light, though some of those around us might think that they are. We are witnesses, and couriers. Our purpose is to prepare the way, so the Lord can come into the world, and dwell among His people. Our duty, is to testify that Jesus, is the Light of all life.
Our voice is like “one calling in the desert.” We can baptize in His name, but we cannot save anyone, because we are not the Savior. Nor are we Elijah, the Christ, or the Prophet. On our own, we are not even worthy, or holy enough, to untie the sandals of Jesus. We are more than able to do one thing, though. We can declare what we know, so people will recognize the Light when they see it.

Blinded
Hello my sweet friends, praying you are all doing well. I know, by now, you have all heard about the aid workers that were killed in Afghanistan. My heart is beyond saddened by this news. I know they are all in the arms of Jesus now, but this should never have happened. They were there to help those people, without seeking glory, or financial blessings. They gladly volunteered their time, and talents to help others in need. Some of those included a female doctor, a dentist, and an eye doctor. The eye doctor gave up his practice here in the United States, to freely share his skills, to help people in Afghanistan not lose their vision. How tragic, that those with no spiritual vision, totally blind to our precious Saviour, then so brutally took his life. Please join me in praying for the family, and loved ones of those killed. But, also, join me in praying for the ones who committed this horrible crime. They are lost, and headed straight for hell, pray for them. Save them Father, Save them.

Sweet P's-Prayers, Petitions & Praise
My precious friend Tiffany, has started a new Friday meme. I love the title, Sweet P's-Prayers, Petitions, and Praise. Please click on the picture to go to her blog to link up with this new meme. Here is my prayer: Dear heavenly Father, recently I have felt such a stirring up deep in my heart and soul. You are speaking to me, please let me listen carefully, and prayerfully, to everything You are telling me. Let me respond quickly to Your directions, I want to do exactly what You desire for me to do. Nothing less, nothing more. Move in me Lord, or move me. I love You with all I am. In Your blessed, very beautiful name, I pray. Believing You hear me, and will answer me, in Your time, and in Your way. Amen.Thursday, August 5, 2010
Thankful Thursday
I am very thankful for praise dancing, attempting to show praise and love to my Lord. When I talk about praise dancing, I want to make it clear what I am talking about. I have never in my life, had one single dance class. I do not participate in any praise dance, or worship team at church, and never have. I do not claim to be graceful, or a naturally talented dancer. But, I do love the Lord with all I am, and with all I have, or will ever have. I want to express my love and appreciation to Him with all of my heart. So, I dance before Him here at home in my living room, and anywhere else I choose. I make up my own dances for Him, swaying in time to the worship music that is playing. I lift my hands in worship to my King, and I sing in tune to the beautiful song He has placed deep in my heart, expressing the joy that pours forth from my heart and soul. As I close my eyes, and move to the rhythm of the music, I know I am no longer alone. My Lord has gathered me in His arms, and is twirling me around, and around. My feet may never touch the ground again, woo hoo. Thanks for the dance sweet Lord, I love You.Wednesday, August 4, 2010
What Does Love Look Like In Your Home?
Woo Hoo, what a week here at the Oldhams. This week, unfortunately, sickness has hit our home. First, it was our cat Precious. She has been really sick with a stomach ailment, bless her little meow, meow heart. But, today, she finally started feeling better. I have also been battling a stomach ailment, and problems with my eyes. Last night, dear Lovebug had a round of stomach problems. Today, Lovebug seems to be on the mend, and I am headed that way. So, love is looking like a place filled with TLC this week. Blessings to everyone.Tuesday, August 3, 2010
In Other Words Tuesday

“Instead of trying to fix yourself, fix your gaze on Me, the lover of your soul. Rather than using your energy to judge yourself, redirect it to praising Me. Remember that I see you clothed in My righteousness, radiant in My perfect love.”
Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
by Sarah Young I love this quote that Debbie chose this week, it is so true, and very powerful. Instead of trying to fix ourselves with various cosmetics, hair products, exercise equipment, and hundreds of diets, what we should be doing daily, is fixing our gaze upon the One who created us, the lover of our souls. Rather than using our energy to harshly judge ourselves daily, we should take that energy, and redirect it to the one who truly deserves it, Jesus. We should use all of our energy, praising Jesus. There are so many ways we can praise Him, through music, singing, dancing, praying, encouraging others, telling others about Him, praise Him, praise Him, praise Him. I praise Him for not seeing me as the world does, but through true eyes of love, and in His righteousness. His perfect love, makes me radiant. Me, radiant? That is amazing love, thank You Lord Jesus.
