In Other Words Tuesday

“Instead of trying to fix yourself, fix your gaze on Me, the lover of your soul. Rather than using your energy to judge yourself, redirect it to praising Me. Remember that I see you clothed in My righteousness, radiant in My perfect love.”

Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
by Sarah Young I love this quote that Debbie chose this week, it is so true, and very powerful. Instead of trying to fix ourselves with various cosmetics, hair products, exercise equipment, and hundreds of diets, what we should be doing daily, is fixing our gaze upon the One who created us, the lover of our souls. Rather than using our energy to harshly judge ourselves daily, we should take that energy, and redirect it to the one who truly deserves it, Jesus. We should use all of our energy, praising Jesus. There are so many ways we can praise Him, through music, singing, dancing, praying, encouraging others, telling others about Him, praise Him, praise Him, praise Him. I praise Him for not seeing me as the world does, but through true eyes of love, and in His righteousness. His perfect love, makes me radiant. Me, radiant? That is amazing love, thank You Lord Jesus.

Great job. Its so true that things we try to fix ourselves up with are just temporary fixes. Turning to Jesus gets us a much more lasting result.

I like praising and praying too. I know it makes me look better afterward...more peaceful. That's always good. An anxious woman is not a good looking woman.

It is so true, Denise. We always try to fix ourselves. The world has a different view of beauty than our Lord. He sees our heart.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this week's IOWT quote.

Love & peace,
