"Only when we understand that God has ordained our suffering can we begin to make sense of it.
Only then, can we be certain that He has a purpose in it.
When tragedy comes, when adversity strikes, we will not be shaken.
Yes, we will cry. Yes, we will grieve.
But we will move on confidently, knowing that God is on His throne,
that we are in His hand,
that our circumstances are His doing,
and that He is working them for our good."
~ Terry L. Johnson, When Grace Comes Home Such a great quote this week, and very true. I cannot believe it has been almost a year ago since my dear hubby almost died, and our adventure began. Eddie's sickness totally changed our world. We cried together, and grieved for the loss of feeling in his body. But, praise God we were able to move on, and experience so many blessed miracles given to us by our precious Father. There have been financial blessings beyond measure, and some financial set backs. We are choosing to move on in confidence, our Father is beside us all the way. Yesterday at the court house, the lawyer, and my Dad, kept saying to me over, and over, you do not have anything, and you never will. Your circumstances are not going to change in the future. Well, I totally disagree. I am resting securely in my Father's hands, He rules my nest. He knows my every circumstance, and provides my daily needs. I may not have earthy riches, or tons of material possessions, but that is ok. I have something money cannot buy, the promise, and blessed assurance of heaven divine. My Father, and His love, riches beyond compare. There is nothing else I desire, or need.

Good Morning Girlfriend, Just Praising Jesus with You!! Thank You Lord for taking care of Us!! I love you so much that I just want to Thank You! for taking care of my sweet friend! Jesus, I will give you all of the Praise for Loving us! Yes! Lord, Yes!
i can very well relate to this, denise. when we understand that God controls every circumstance in our lives, we can be assured that He knows what He is doing and we can rest on that truth peacefully. when we hope in Jesus, He will certainly make a way for us no matter how gloomy our circumstances are.
i'm praising God for your friendship and prayers, denise. you are truly such a blessing to me. i love you.
Your dad is wrong, because you already have everything in Christ.
The quotation you cited is such a wonderful thing to wrap your heart and head around! When we have absolute confidence in God, knowing that He ordains whatsoever comes to pass, we can rest securely in Him. He is faithful to meet our needs and He loves us!! Praise God! :-)
Wow what a witness. "Choosing to move on," that is so true. We can stay and wallow in our suffering or choose to move on resting in God's hands as you put it. Isn't it amazing how suffering can turn into something almost beautiful. The two don't seem to go together but when God's in the middle they have a way of connecting.
Through adversity, blessings came and others were not only blessed by how you handled it but by your faith and perhaps because of that some were changed.
Love you,
Mama Bear
