May we deal with this day as it unfolds, without fretting about what will come tomorrow. These minutes and hours right now, require our total attention, and our full focus on God. Let us look to Him for the strength, and the hope we need this instant.
The old adage is sound advice: take life one day at a time. It might even be better to revise our thinking, so that we take things one minute, or one hour at a time. God never intended for us to live in the present, and the future at the same time. Sometimes, we even add the past to our present, and then wonder why we feel helplessly lost.
God tells us how to live, and He repeats the message:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?”
“Who of you by worrying, can add a single hour to his life?”
“Then Jesus said to His disciples: ‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.’”
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
In short, God says “Trust Me to take care of you.” We put our faith into practice, when we release our life into His hands. We have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. We start, by giving Him this one day. Tomorrow, and the next day, we can do the same thing – until we trust Him, without even thinking about our situation.

A New Gospel
Think, for a moment, about the four gospels in the New Testament. The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, are very different. Yet, in many ways, they are much alike, because they are all about Jesus. No matter which book we read, the theme is the same: Jesus lived, and died for our salvation.
There is another gospel, though. It is one that you may not often think about, but one that you have lived. The gospel is your gospel: The Gospel According to Jack, The Gospel According to Elinor, The Gospel According to Mike, The Gospel According to Jeannine. Whatever your name, fill in the blank: The Gospel According to ____________ .
How does your gospel begin? With the birth of Jesus? The prophecy of the Messiah? The lineage of the King from the past, to the present? Maybe your gospel even begins with your birth. What is the true heart, the center, of your gospel? All of our individual stories about Jesus will be different. But, the essence will be the same. We will tell what we have seen, and experienced about our Savior. We will write down what He has done for us, and what He can do for everyone.
Think about your gospel today. Maybe God wants you to spread the Word, by putting it on paper, so future generations will know more about Jesus. Your story is important, and the world needs to hear it.

Hello
Hello my precious friends, missed you yesterday. Woke up to really bad storms yesterday morning, knocked our power out. So, I was not able to be on computer yesterday. But, God kept us safe from a nearby tornado. I need your prayers my sweet friends concerning our finances, and my health. I have an appointment with my diabetes doctor this Thursday morning, please pray that she can help me to feel better as far as my stomach is concerned. Also, we need some major prayer concerning our finances. Things are very bad right now, we only have five more payments until our car will be paid off, praise God. But, money is so tight right now, it is harder to make the payment each month. We will be paying it this week, and then will barely have enough money left to get groceries. Next week our rent is due, and I seriously doubt if we will have enough money left to get any groceries. But, we are praising God regardless. He cares about the birds, and supplies their needs, I know He will once again come through for us. Once I get our home phone bill caught up, which includes our Internet service, I will probably have to disconnect it, which means no more computer. I hate that so much, but I do not know what else to do. I wish I could find a job to bring extra money into our home, please say some prayers for us. I love you all.

Pray For His Way
Sometimes the best way to handle a situation is for us to do nothing, and to let God do everything. He does not need our help when it comes to changing people, or circumstances. He is more than able to accomplish anything, if we let Him.
No doubt there were many believers who sought to change the ways of Saul. But, nothing could compare to what the Lord did in an instant, by taking away his sight and speaking to him through the Spirit. Once Saul could see again, he was a new person in Christ. He became Paul the apostle.
God is transforming all sorts of things today. Some involve people. Some involve situations. You and I need to be patient, while God does what needs to be done. We have to give Him room, and time to work. If He needs our help, He will certainly let us know. Until then, we must wait.
If we feel the urge to do something, let us pray – pray earnestly and fervently, for His divine will to be done. That is what I am choosing to do for my sister, she needs my love, and continued prayers. God, please help my sister through whatever is bothering her, get satan off of her back. I love her Father, and I love You.

Update
Hello my sweet friends, praying you are all doing well. I have been offline since late Wednesday night. I was suppose to go out of town this weekend with my sister, dad, and step mom. We were going to North Carolina to see my nephew, my sister's son, and his sweet wife. Tuesday will be my nephew's birthday, we were going to surprise him. Well, I got very sick late Wednesday night, throwing up, nauseous, cramping very badly in my stomach, also my eyes were burning and hurting very badly. As of now, my stomach has calmed down a little, but eyes remain the same. When I called my sister to tell her that I was sick, and would not be able to make the trip, she reacted very badly toward me. She talked to me really hateful, said whatever, and hung up on me. I called her back three times, trying to explain things to her, but she picked up the phone all three times, and just hung up on me. This really hurt me, I love her so much. They went on the trip, and I prayed traveling graces for them, and a happy weekend for all of them. I feel so bad at the reaction my sister had toward me, my heart is aching over this. I did not mean to upset her in anyway. I did not plan to get sick, I was looking forward to the trip. Sometimes, I feel like such a disappointment to the ones I love, due to my health problems. I am who I am, flaws and all. Praise God, that He loves and accepts me, just the way I am. He loves me when I am sick, well, in pain, sad, happy, always, in all ways. He is here for me, constantly, to laugh with me, or to wipe away my tears, as He is doing right now. I love You Father. I will praise You, today, and forever. I will not let this keep me down, no need to. You are with me all the days of my life, so I have joy deep in my heart.

Word Filled Wednesday

How do I know Jesus loves you? Here is proof my precious friends.
And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. Ephesians 5: 2
But God shows, and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. Romans 5: 8
But if one loves God truly [with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him].
1 Corinthians 8: 3
I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me. Proverbs 8: 17
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love [for love waved as a protecting and comforting banner over my head when I was near him].
Song of Solomon 2: 4
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38-39 : Jesus loves you, this I know, for His precious words in the Bible, reveal it all. If you are lost, and wandering aimlessly, seek Him out, call upon His sweet name my friend, and you will never be lost, or lonely again.

In Other Words Tuesday

“The spirit of complaint is born out of an unwillingness to trust God with today. Like the Israelites, it means you are spending your time looking back toward Egypt, or wishing for the future, all the while missing what God is doing right now.”
From: One in a Million by Priscilla Shirer: Debbie chose a wonderful quote to share with us today. One, that is unfortunately true with so many of us. We choose to look back upon our past, or toward the future, skipping over today. There is a reason today is called the present, it is a gift that we are daily given. I praise God for each day I am blessed with, and no matter what the day holds, I trust Him with holding it for me. The experience I am dealing with concerning my vision, can really make you appreciate everyday. I wake up, wanting to see everything I can, all day long. The pain in my eyes can be so bad, but I know there is a reason. At least, I can still see, and that blesses my heart. We are going through some very troubling times right now financially, lovebug's work has really slowed down. The bills are piling up, and lovebug is very stressed out over them. He is fearful for our future, will we lose everything we have? I try to reassure him constantly, and remind him of how God has always been there for us, and brought us through. Sometimes, by looking back at your past, you can find hope for today. You see where you were, and how God carried you into today, and will lead you into tomorrow, and beyond. You must believe, and by believing, you will receive. Thank You for being in my today, and giving me faith for all my tomorrows sweet Saviour.

The Process Of Renewing
Change is not easy. Some of us fight back for all we are worth, while others simply sit down, and give in. It is one thing to talk about making adjustments in our lives, but following through is another story. We have to be serious, and completely committed to what needs to be done.
God can do very little with us, until we make the first move. As much as we would like to wake up some morning, and be a new person, there is no magic cure. God does not wave a wand over us and, in an instant, we are transformed. In order for us to change, we need to do what He tells us, and stick to it.
We need to remember that we are not on this journey of change by ourselves. We have God, first of all. He will be with us to strengthen, and encourage us. We also have family and friends, who love us and want the best for us. Many of them pray for us daily. They pray for our safety, our protection, and our care. We are not alone, even though we think so.
If you need to make a change in your life today, whether it involves your way of thinking, or your way of doing something, turn it over to God. That is the first step. The next step is to listen to Him. Do what He says, and focus on Him. Soon you will be a different person, because you allowed Him to renew you.

Lost And Found
We are all familiar with a lost and found, a place where misplaced and missing items wind up. As a child, I had to go to the lost and found in elementary school many times. It seems I was always losing my gloves, my hat, even my jacket. I remember panicking when I realized that something had suddenly vanished. How relieved I was when I got it back again.
These days, as an adult, there is a sort of spiritual lost and found I need to visit often. I become caught up in the activities and busyiness of the world. I lose my patience, my compassion, my peace, my hope, and my kindness. At the moment, I do not realize that I have misplaced my trust in God. But as I get ready to move on, I discover what I have lost.
God can replace and restore whatever we have lost. Remember what Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is lite."
Regardless of what you and I have lost today, God can help us find it. He can give us the answer we seek to a difficult decision. He can return the empathy we used to have, and He can even give us back the simple joy of living. Look in His lost and found for whatever you need. Anything at all. You will find it there.

Thankful Thursday
Another Thankful Thursday is here my friends, raise your hands in praise to our heavenly Father. Dance around, show Him Your thankful heart. Life can be really hard, but with our Father leading us, everything will be ok. Right now, I am experiencing alot of pain with my eyes, but I still see, and for that, I am very thankful. Financially, things are really rough right now, due to a huge stack of medical bills. But, my lovebug and I are still together, and we have our love and our life's. For that, I am beyond thankful. I refuse to complain, there is no reason for that. Father God loves us, and He assures me everyday, in every way, that He has everything under control. I truly believe in Him, and I know by continuing to believe, and not giving up, or giving into discouragement, I will continue to receive daily encouragement from my Father. He will carry me through these rough waters, and set my feet back on dry land. Thank You Father, I love You with all I am, forever.Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Trick Or Treat
The stores are full of a myriad of colorful costumes every October. Children can dress up like their favorite character and, for one night, become a pirate, superhero, princess, actor, or cartoon figure. They have fun playing make-believe, and receiving candy at every house.
But, there also is the adult version of Halloween that, in many cases, may last year round. On any given Sunday, in any church, you will find those who are all dressed up. There is Danny the Worship Leader, Carol the Choir Director, Eddie the Elder, Sam the Sunday School Teacher, George the Greeter, Annie the Organist, and dozens of other characters.
They all look nice, neat, pleasant and happy. What we do not see is who they are when they remove their costumes, when we see them throughout the rest of the week. Danny sends threatening, and intimidating emails to those who work for him. Carol yells constantly at her three children, and husband. Eddie takes office supplies to use at home. Sam never smiles at anyone, or says hello. George talks about others, to make himself look better. Annie always takes a two-hour lunch.
Perhaps you have seen some of these personalities at your church. But, before we all start pointing out the real person behind the facade, we have to be willing to take off our own mask. Most likely, there are many things we are hiding as well.

Seek The Good
The headlines in any newspaper across the country, reveal the very worst in the world. People commit all kinds of crimes, each one more shocking than the other. At times, it may seem as though God has abandoned us, and left us to our own devices. But He is with us daily. All we have to do is to look in the right places.
We need to go beyond the world that we have made, and look at the world that God has made. The wonder of His creation is everywhere: in the changing of the seasons, in the magnificence of a forest, in the invisible wind, in the joyful sounds of children on a playground, in the care of a loving grandmother, in the fruits and vegetables that nourish our bodies, in the golden clouds of a sunrise. These prove God’s constant presence in the universe, and in our lives.
We do not have to go very far to experience Him. All we need to do is look at ourselves: the hands that move when we wish, the feet that can take us anywhere, the eyes that help us see both beauty, and tragedy, the ears that hear the cries of others, and the arms that can comfort the lost.
You and I are, indeed, fearfully and wonderfully made. We are the miracles of life! This day may seem, at first glance, like another ordinary day – one more day of bad news everywhere we look. Let us take a peek behind the scenes, though, and glimpse the amazing splendor of God’s world, where all things are made new.

Thankful Thursday
Happy Thankful Thursday, sorry my post is late. But, better late, than never. Well, I am fired up with joy, not letting satan steal anything from me. Every since my eye appointment on Tuesday, I have been filled with joy juice. God has opened up the fountain, and His joy is flowing freely into my life. No fears, no doubts, no discouragement, no anger, no tears. There are no pity parties going on around here, only happy dancing, hand clapping, shouting to the Lord, thanking Him for all He has done for me, and will continue to do for me. I am not giving up, my eyes are going to get better. I believe, and I will receive healing of my vision. I claim the promise of miracles, and healing. Father God loves me, and will protect my vision. There will be a loser, satan. He cannot have my vision, I refuse to allow that. I will battle on, never quitting.Wednesday, October 6, 2010
Eye Specialist Appointment
Hello everyone, praying you are all doing well. My appointment was today with the eye specialist. Here is what I found out concerning my eyes. All of the bloodwork came back confirming what the Doctor had already told me about the nerve damage, and other eye damage that I have. There is no other health problem that is contributing to, or that has caused the nerve problems. I praise God for that, because I do not need another health problem. But, what this means, is that according to the Doctor, I am now at the end of my journey. There is nothing left to do, nothing he reccomends to be done. My eyes are shot, due to my diabetes. The nerve damage cannot be reversed, it is beyond repair. So, all he is going to do, is see me every three months to check the progression of my eye disease. I go back to see him in January. He said, there was no reason to take the other cataract out of my eye, that it would not make any difference. He said the nerve damage is to bad. Do I accept this as the final chapter? No, Father God is the author, and finisher of my life. Only He knows for sure what my future holds. I refuse to give up, satan is not going to steal my vision. This battle has only begun my friends, I am going to fight the darkness, by shining His light. Put your praying gear on, we are going to war!!! I love you all very much.

Praise You Father
Dear Lord, today give me a heart for gladness, not for sadness; give me hands for helping, not for hurting; give me eyes for visions, not for desires; give me feet for following, not for falling; give me thoughts for atonement, not for avenging.
My whole life depends on what You do for me, not on what I do for You. I know that I cannot do anything on my own. You are my constant source, and resource of strength and hope. If You were not there to help me, I would certainly fail.
You show mercy to me even when I forget You, even when I take You for granted, even when I deliberately turn away, and ignore Your guidance. Each time I stumble, You pick me up, and mend me. You even forgive my ways, and forget my sins.
How great is Your patience with me. How amazing is Your love. How incredible that You protect me all the days of my life. Use me as Your creation, to bring glory and honor to Your name. Show the world that I am nothing in myself, but everything in You.

Marriage Monday-How We Survived A Marriage Crisis
Perfect topic for this time in our lives, of course God's timing is always right on time. All of you know the crisis we went through, and survived back in December through May, with my dear lovebug. Now, we are right in the middle of another crisis, this time with my health. How are we surviving it? Like we do all areas of our life, we are clinging tightly to one another, and of course, clinging tightly to our precious Father. We have no clue what tomorrow holds, but praise God, we know who holds our tomorrow. We have been together almost 26 years, and our love is rock solid, due to the fact that it is built upon the Rock of ages. Going blind is a scary thought, but lovebug is deeply imprinted inside my heart and soul. I will forever see him through eyes of love. On the way home from seeing his dad last night, who by the way, was moved into a regular room today, praise God, a song came on the radio called, I need You Jesus. I started lifting my hands in deep praise, singing, until I lost my voice due to the amount of crying I was doing. Tears were running down my face, my emotions were totally going wild. Lovebug, of course, became very concerned. He pulled me over next to him, and embraced me. He asked me what was wrong, and how could he help me. I said, just keep loving me, no matter what happens, please do not leave me. When, and if the darkness of blindness comes, please do not leave me in the dark alone. I need you lovebug. He said, I promise, I will never leave you, never. I will light your dark places as much as I can, guide you, hold your hand, do whatever is needed to keep you feeling safe and secure. That is love, tried, and true love, forever. Thank You Father for my marriage, thanks for being our source of light and love for eternity. I do need You Father, so very very much. Please come to my rescue, be with me tomorrow at my eye appointment. Trusting You always, in all ways. I love You Father with all I am.Sunday, October 3, 2010

Dear heavenly Father, I love You so very, very much. I praise You for who You are. Without You, I am nothing but an empty vessel, but with You, I am filled to overflowing. Even when storms are raging all around, I know I can run to You. You will calm my storms. Life is crazy right now, but You are here. You are giving me strength, and guiding me on my journey. I praise You in this storm, and will never stop praising You, or loving You. Thanking You for being a constant presence in my life.Update

I Am Home
Hello my precious friends, I am home. I appreciate all the support that has been shown to me by your love, comments, and dear prayers. I am better, but still not well. Actually, I should be in the hospital, but we had a family emergency. As we were trying to deal with my blood sugar being over 700, we received a call concerning lovebug's dad. We had to rush down to his parents home, because of course his mom was there alone with his dad. As we pulled up in front of their house, so did the ambulance. We did not know if he was having a heart attack, or stroke from the symptoms he was having. We got his mom in the car, and followed the ambulance to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, we were greeted by our two nephews, one niece in-law, and lovebug's sister. They took his dad straight back to emergency of course, and started working on him. I could not let the focus be upon me, lovebug needs me to be strong for him. He is very worried about his dad, he is very sick, he is now in ICU. He already has COPD lung disease, type 2 diabetes, and congestive heart failure. They think he has a really bad infection somewhere in his body. Please pray for him, his name is Bill. Pray that God will lay healing hands upon him, and pray for my lovebug. Lovebug is so worried about his dad, and lovebug has already been through enough stress. As for me, my doctor gave me fluids through a IV bag for severe dehydration, changed my insulin. Waited till my blood sugar went down from 700, to 400, then let me go. I had to go because of our family emergency. I go to see the eye specialist Tuesday, I truly would appreciate your continued prayers. I love you all. I want to give special thanks to my sweet sis Peggy. Thank you for storming the gates of heaven on my behalf, and for the ecards, and heart felt comments. I love you with all of my heart sis. You are my mighty prayer warrior.

Urgent Prayer Request

My friend Lanie's niece, Rulaine Geronimo, who's just 11 years old was diagnosed with brain cancer last August and just a little over a month, Rulaine had already gone to be with our Lord. The family was devastated. They already lost a life and their bill in the hospital had since skyrocketed to $12,000. Here's what's even more stressful --- They were able to get Rulaine out of the hospital to the funeral home but the hospital won't release Rulaine's death certificate until Lanie's family are able to pay the balance which is still, I think, around $10,000. The funeral home has given them only until Sunday this week to accommodate them or else they will be paying additional $112 per day until they get Rullaine's body buried or cremated. How can this be done without the death certificate? They don't have insurance coverage.
Dear friends, I appeal to you to please pray for my friend Lanie and if God leads you to make a financial donation of any amount, it will be very much appreciated. Your donation will definitely be a huge help for Lanie's family. I have set up a donation button at the lower left side of this page. I will be accepting donations on their behalf using my Paypal account for now. Please do email me if you made a donation. I would like to make sure that everything is properly accounted for. I will give Lanie the list of names of everyone who prayed and gave. I found this request over at Pia's blog, please pray for this dear family, and help them financially if you are able. God bless them.
