Walk With Him Wednesday

"
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases ..." (Psalm 103:2)
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken." (Psalm 34:19)
"For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
"O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You have healed me." (Psalm 30:2)
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds ... Great is our Lord, and mighty in power ..." (Psalm 147:3)
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
"But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing." (Psalm 34:10)
"For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." (Psalm 84:11)
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) ... for she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." (Matthew 9:21) I choose to be faithful like this precious one, I believe, now, and forever, in His healing powers.

God Is Unchangeable

God's kindness, mercy, love and goodness, will always remain the same for those who sincerely believe in Him, in His salvation, and desire to follow Him. Everything else in this life is unstable and cannot be depended upon: riches do not last, friends often forsake us, our health inevitably gives way to various sicknesses and finally to death. But God, our gracious and merciful heavenly Father who loves us in Christ our dear Savior, remains unchanging and His gracious promises stand fast. He will continue to bless and keep us at all times. This should serve to strengthen our faith in Him and His Word so that we continue, year after year, to place all of our confidence and trust in the unchangeable God and in His unchangeable Word of Truth.
O Thou, who changest not, abide with me!

Mission 4 Monday- Prayer And Fast

for

and her family of 10

"Suppose you had 10 kids and you had terminal cancer? Suppose it appeared your time was limited? What would you want a group of people, who didn't even know you, to do for you?"

Super Simple Sunday

Remember all the prayers that God has answered for you in the past. Remember the great things He has done. David wrote this in a psalm:
"O give thanks unto the Lord;
call upon His name:
make known His deeds among the people.
Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him:
talk ye of all His wondrous works.
Glory ye in His holy name:
let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
Seek the Lord, and His strength:
seek His face evermore.
Remember His marvelous works that He hath done;
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth..."
(Psalm 105:1-5, KJV)

Faith, Hope, And Love

Faith, hope and love: these three remain; and the greatest of them is love (God's agape, unconditional and unselfish love). The Christian is not unique in the need for love, for faith, or for a living hope. All people need these things to be active in their lives. The Christian is only unique in that these things are promised us by God Himself.
We possess, in Christ Jesus, all the most wonderful things that the whole world longs for. We have God's own river of peace from which to drink. We have God's own love to keep us warmed in a cold and dark world. We own the hope of Christ which tells us that we will rise again to reign with Him. And we have a faith given to us by God that satan, the world, and all the imps of hell can never take away.
How remarkable, then, that we still complain and fret over daily events and circumstances, often as though we had no hope of faith at all. I guess we are just human, after all. Even though we have received glorious gifts from Almighty God, we are still jars of clay, as the Bible says. I am just thankful that I am not saved by my own goodness, but by the matchless grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ.

Word Filled Wednesday

All alone in the early hours of morning with a Bible, a cup of tea or coffee, and the Lord. There is no better way to begin a day. Before the cares and crushing stress of a busy day, we need to draw strength from our quiet time with the Lord Jesus. We can pray, and think about the promises He has made to us. We can read, and find His will for the day. We can sit quietly, and listen to the Spirit of God, drawing our own strength from His Mighty Presence. He is our God. Let us listen to Him, and learn.

A Call For Help
God Is Unchangeable

Can you imagine what the world would be like if God was fickle and erratic?
The natural laws would then be variable, and unstable, depending upon God's mood!
The force of gravity could be extreme one day, making it difficult to move about, then insignificant on another day, making it impossible to keep things down in the same position.
Our coffee could float out of it's mug. It would be chaotic.
Paul tells us that: "..in Christ all things hold together."
(Colossians 1:17)
I believe that all the molecular structures are held together by Christ's unchangeable power.
It is He who gives this creation it's stability.
In Other Words Tuesday

Ps 139: 7 “Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” Instead of running from God, run to Him. If He calls you to do something, He will equip you to do it. He never wants you to fail, He loves you my friend, and only wants the best for you. So, where He leads you, follow.

Update: July 6, 2009
Bruce and Anita Paden, WorldVenture missionaries in DR Congo Since April 23 of this year, these funds have helped in the following way:
"[N]eeds vary from place to place and from time to time. At Rubaya, the place where we helped IDPs from our church association the last time that I sent a report to you, we helped the people there with blankets and food items. This time, however, there was some NGO that had already distributed blankets to the people there, so that wasn't a need. Instead of blankets, we gave them washbasins which they did need."More Information International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) June 10, 2009 Kinshasa/Geneva (ICRC) - Fresh outbreaks of armed hostilities in many areas of North and South Kivu are putting additional pressure on entire communities already living in an alarming state of vulnerability. | |||||||||||||||

Book Review
Rick&Bubba's guide to the almost nearly perfect marriage is so funny, it will keep you laughing from the beginning until the end. I read this book aloud to my husband, I do not know who laughed more, I think we both did. As you are reading each chapter, you find yourself shaking your head in agreement. It reminds you of the funny things in your own marriage, and also reminds you not to take things so seriously, laugh, laugh alot. With chapter titles such as: To love, honor, and duck. Showers of popcorn, and Three sides to every story, you cannot help but smile. I highly recommend this book, read it together as a couple, it will make you both laugh aloud.Thank You Father

Update
In Other Words Tuesday

Thanks Debbie for sharing such a great quote this week. My answer to this is a great big no. Doing these things are important, and we should all be doing them. But, doing these things is not showing passionate whole hearted love for God. In order to do that, we must be willing to be Jesus in action. We must show love to others, reaching out to those in need. Sharing what we have with those who do not have. Not just talking the talk, but walking the walk. Take up your cross daily, unburden yourself of this world, and be determined to make this world better, until we reach our true home. That my friend, is passionate whole hearted love.Monday, July 6, 2009
Busy Day
Mission 4 Monday

Via Charity Shopping Portals, many of the internet's best known stores are willing to donate a portion of their sales to charity.
This is a win-win-win situation:
- You win, because a portion of your internet purchases can be donated to the charity of your choice, at no extra cost to you.
- Your charity wins, because they get a great new source of donations.
- Participating internet stores win, because they use the charity donation feature as a way to attract new customers, and to encourage greater loyalty from existing customers.
Generally, lesser known internet stores are willing to donate a higher portion of their sales (up to 15%) than the portion of sales (up to 5%) donated by better known internet stores. However, there are exceptions. For instance, Amazon.com is willing to donate up to 30% of its sales revenues for higher margin or promotional items.
Here's the small catch: In order for a portion of your purchases to be donated to charity, you cannot surf directly to the internet store. Instead, you must click through a charity shopping portal. Fortunately, this takes only a few seconds, once an account is set-up.
Invest a few minutes to set-up an account at a charity shopping portal and to choose the charity that will receive a portion of each purchase you make when clicking through that shopping portal. Leading Charity portals include GreaterGood.com and iGive.com.
