Update: July 6, 2009
Bruce and Anita Paden, WorldVenture missionaries in DR Congo Since April 23 of this year, these funds have helped in the following way:
"[N]eeds vary from place to place and from time to time. At Rubaya, the place where we helped IDPs from our church association the last time that I sent a report to you, we helped the people there with blankets and food items. This time, however, there was some NGO that had already distributed blankets to the people there, so that wasn't a need. Instead of blankets, we gave them washbasins which they did need."More Information International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) June 10, 2009 Kinshasa/Geneva (ICRC) - Fresh outbreaks of armed hostilities in many areas of North and South Kivu are putting additional pressure on entire communities already living in an alarming state of vulnerability. |

I am looking at the amount raised, it is almost there. Praise The Lord!
Let us do everything to advance the kingdom of God.
Oh Denise.. don't you wish you had millions of dollars that could be divided among all of these worthy endeavors? I know I do! But I also know that each tiny contribution can add up, and although it may take longer to reach the goal, it will still be reached if we all do our part. Thank you for highlighting yet another place that can use some assistance.
And just to recap.. I am praying for you DAILY... and oftentimes HOURLY, because God lays you on my heart. I know His plans for you are great... and I cannot wait to see how He plans to work through your life. I love you, sweet friend!
