Join me??

Help wanted, and needed. I will be going to a new diabetes, and thyroid specialist on October 8th. That means, from this coming Monday, until my appointment on Wednesday October 8th, I have 14 weeks to exercise, eat better, and lose some weight. My weight loss goal is to lose twenty pounds. I wish we all lived closer, so we could walk, and exercise together. I truly need some encouragement. Eddie will not walk, or do any type of exercise with me, and does not want me to join a gym. Are any of you interested in joining me in an accountability, and encouragement group?? All we would do is walk everyday, and do some other type of exercise, and watch what we eat. Check in with each other, and share encouragement. Build each other up, no tearing down.

I would love to encourage you.
I need it too. Cowboy doesn't walk with me and Daisy always wants to run. I don't take her out as often as I should because I don't like being drug!

It's so tough to do it alone. I need to lose some - no, a lot of weight. Have to get my head wrapped around it first, or it won't happen. Too bad we don't live in the same town. Motivation and attitude. That's all it takes.

That sounds like something I need. Good luck on your quest. I too have diabetes, diagnosed a year ago. The diet and exercise are the hardest. I pray God be with you.

Denise, I would love to be able to join you, but not sure that I will be able to walk every day. I do have an exercise tape here at the house that I could do in place of the walking, if that would be okay. I just recently was able to go off my blood pressure medication because I'd lost weight and the medication was too much for me. I'm currently at about half of my goal. I won't have access to a computer next week because of being away, but when I get home I'd be happy to join with you. Dianna xo

Denise, I won't be able to do the walking every day, but I do have an exercise tape here that I could do on a regular basis. I was recently able to go off my blood pressure medication because of losing weight. I am almost at the half way mark with that goal at the present time. I won't be at a computer next week, but when I get home I'd be willing to be part of this group! Just let me know when you start it! :) Hugs

Injuring my knee a while ago, it's not easy to go back on an exercise regimen. I started just yesterday to slowly and carefully increase my moving around by exercising indoor using our stationary bike. I can't join but I am able to pray for us. Stay strong sis. God bless.

I'm in! Whatever we can do to build each other up! I walk my new German Shepard puppy every evening and we are trying to eat better because some issues my husband is having. Walking is great exercise. If you have the place to walk then a gym is not necessary. :)

Hi Denise!

Some days I have to do exercise other than walking because of my leg but, other than that, I'm on board if you want me. My email is shelby.ketchen@gmail.com and if you want my cell # so that we can talk or text, I'm happy to send it to you though I don't want to put it on the net.

My doctor just started me on a new diabetes medication that is supposed to help with weight loss too. Also, I am going blind and controlling my sugars won't fix it but will help. Plus I just HATE how I feel.

So count me in!!!!

Maybe Eddie's doctor could suggest that he needs to walk too. That is the single best exercise! Good luck.

Hi Denise! I'll join you, but like Dianna, I can't walk every day. But I can watch my diet and exercise. That's a great goal. (And I would never tear anyone down!)
Blessings,
Ceil

Hi Denise, great idea, I'd love to join in too. I usually walk on my air stepper everyday and lift weights to stay healthy. I don't have weight to lose, but I exercise to maintain. Cheering each other on really helps us meet our goals whatever they are for each person.

Blessings!

I'm IN!!! I'm also in Tn., but about 1 1/2 hours away from you. :(
I'm trying to get out of the door between 6:00 & 6:30 to walk the dogs (before it gets too hot)...so far it's working! The dogs are here to push me along...they're getting used to this summer routine! We can do it!!!

Hi Denise. I need to exercise too and be aware of what I eat although I dont have diabetes. It is a battle everyday, but God is there for you. I am a member of .Norwegian gym and I train with them whenever it suits me. Maybe, you can find a gym center in the internet where you can exercise with others?
Good luck!

I started doing a Jane Fonda walk DVD and it's pretty good. Walking is very important. Also try to go low carb, it is the diet that was designed for diabetics. You can definitely drop 20 pounds by October if you don't eat carbs.
