Doctor Appointment

Wow, what a day my friends. My appointment with my neurologist was at 11:15, the bus got me there at 11:00. I sat in the waiting room until 2:00p.m. Then, the nurse finally called me back. She weighed me, took my blood pressure, and my pulse, and asked me a few questions. Then, she put me in another room to wait for my Doctor. I sat there until 4:p.m., and then he finally came in the room. Crazy!! But, I truly appreciate the time, and attention he gave me. He really listened to me, and answered all of my questions. He is a very nice, Christian man. He cares about his patients well being. He is concerned about me. My out of control diabetes is a major concern. That, and a blood clot, are the two reasons I had my stroke. I found out today, the blood clot I had was in my left carotid artery in my neck. It traveled to my brain, and along with the excess blood glucose caused from my diabetes, caused my stroke. Also, I found out, they cannot go in,and clear out my blocked artery because of the location. Something else I found out today, there are four main arteries in your brain, two of mine are totally blocked, not just one. Both of mine in the back of my brain, are blocked. He scheduled an MRI/MRA to be done next Friday, June 13. He wants to make sure the two arteries in the front of my brain are still open. Continued prayers would be very much appreciated. I love you all.

Denise, Thank you for sharing about your doctor's appointment yesterday. I'm sorry you had such a long wait, but I'm glad you were able to get your questions answered...and also that you have a caring Christian doctor. I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis though. You are such a blessing in your outlook! I will continue to pray for you and praying that the MRI will give the doctor answers he's looking for. Hugs

You know you have my continued prayers every day...It sounds like you have a good doctor, and we already know that you are in good hands, but I am so sorry you have to go through all of this.
I love you, and Yes, I will have some lemonade (from your latest post)! Make mine with extra honey though, to take away all the sourness ;)
