Gobble, Gobble

No more gobble, gobble Mr. Turkey. I went to Walmart, picked you out of all the other turkeys, you were a very nice looking turkey. I stood in line, paid a good price for you, and brought you home.  I thawed you out for a few days, you were freezing, sorry about that. Last night, I cleaned you up really nice, you were shining. I dried you off, oiled and buttered you up, and told you good-bye. Sorry, there were no last rites, but God bless you. Then, I placed you in the roasting pan, and set you in the oven. I guarantee you were no longer freezing, instead, you were getting a nice and evenly brown suntan. Then, today, Mr. Turkey, my husband and I truly enjoyed the cooked version of you. Awww. The turkey that use to gobble, has now made me wobble like a penguin!!!!!!!!

This post made me smile.
I have been away for so long and have a lot of catching up to do. It's been hard to follow my bloggy friends since Google Reader went away, but now that I've found an alternative reader, am hoping to be able to catch up.

ROFL!

I wonder what you would say to the nice doe we just took to the butcher yesterday?
Yes, early on Thanksgiving morning we had another doe to deliver to the butcher to process!
Yay! lots of good venison for the freezer and to share with loved ones throughout the year...and one less deer to get hit on the roadway (which is not a good way to go!)

Looks like you had a nice Thanksgiving. I'm sorry about your Dad, but will pray for him. I had not seen you at the Lighthouse in a while so I thought I'd better check on you.
Glad your feeling better. I will add your Dad to the Lighthouse if you haven't already. Love you and miss you. Glad your feeling better. Have a great Christmas.

We went to my oldest daughter's and had Thanksgiving with her and her husband. Our youngest daughter and her husband drove us up. There were a few of my grandson's friends there. We had a really good visit. My son-in-law started cooking at 6 am (he did all the cooking) and we ate at noon. It was a good visit and then we came home on Friday.

Looking forward to Christmas. They will all be here Christmas including dh's niece and husband. Can't wait to see all of them again.
