Thankful Thursday

Hello my friends, hope today, finds you all happy. This week I am very thankful for my life.  Sometimes, I think we all take life for granted. We act like we will live forever, well, guess what?? That is not true. Since my stroke last year, I have really realized how precious life is, and how quickly it can go by. I am definitely taking one day at a time, that is all I can do. Recently, things have been getting harder, not easier. I feel like my progress has taken a step backward. My diabetes continues to be out of control, even though, the Doctor has me on a very high dose of insulin, four shots a day, on a diabetic diet, exercise as much as I can, still no improvement. I have pain constantly in the back of my head, both my legs, and feet, constantly swell really bad, sometimes I can barely walk. My left hand constantly goes numb, and tingles badly. Yesterday, I was not feeling well, so after Eddie got home from work, we laid down for a little nap. Praise God for watching over me, because my blood sugar dropped really quickly, and very low. Thank God that Eddie was home with me. I totally went out of it, Eddie shook me, and finally got me awake. I was drenched in a sweat, my clothes were soaked, and so were the sheets that I was laying on. He got me up, and into the living room, took great care of me. It seems like things are getting worse with my health daily. But, I refuse to give up this fight. My life is worth fighting for, and God is on my side, so how can I possibly lose?? Friends, celebrate your life, you only have one life, believe me, it is truly worth celebrating!!

Your blog is really pretty. I haven't come by lately just been reading your posts via email on my phone since I don't have inter-net. Your post was extra beautiful too. I am praying for you. I love your sweet spirit. Many days your sweet notes are cards are what keep me going. And I know others can say that too. You are special to us. We love you and care about you. I am praying for you right now. I pray God will give you peace and reassurance and that he will touch your body with his healing hand. I pray a full recovery because you have a great guy that needs you around. And so do a lot of others. I hope your Thankful day is Blessed.

Wow, Denise. That must have been very scary for your Eddie too. I am glad that you are okay now and that you know Jesus. May the diabetes and healing from the stroke go smoother this week.

How wonderful to be thankful for each day and to enjoy priceless things like naps with loved ones. I like those too. :)

Have a great week.

Lord, thank You for Denise's spirit! Thank You for the example of gratitude she displays. Thank You for the testimony to Your goodness that You put in her, and continue to allow her to share. (Thank You for the internet!)

Please, Lord, give Denise comfort amid pain, and give her relief and rest in accordance with Your grace. Please shower her with Your mercy.

I also pray for Pia. Please give her comfort. Please use this void in her life as opportunity to be filled with You. Please send her memories of her father with increasing joy and less sorrow.

Thank You, Father, for hearing. All is asked in Jesus name, for His glory and Yours. Amen.
