Word Filled Wednesday

We give gifts to everybody we know.
We stress over if we have gotten the right thing, for the right person!
We worry in case we forgot someone.
We worry if we responded to everyone.
We get so wrapped up in the festivities of the season, we forget why we do it. Did we forget Jesus?
The only gift God wants from us, is the one money cannot buy - - Our Love. Never forget, Jesus is the reason for the season.

This year we didnt have the money to buy gifts...so we didn't. You know...so far everyone has been just fine with it. And it has been an amazing Christmas not rushing around and stressing over gifts. Hmmm...maybe a new tradition has begun.

Amen, my sister. For the first time, maybe EVER, I have stopped worrying about the gifts and started really focusing on THE GIFT. There isn't a lot under our tree, but our hearts are overflowing. And without the stress of trying to get it all "Martha Stewart" perfect, we've been able to create perfect memories. Simple.. simple... a manger, some hay, a cloth... God took care of the rest. And I'm praying that He will take care of you, and restore to you the good health that you need. Blessings on the eve of our Savior's birth!

So true. This reminds me of the sermon in The Bishop's Wife... may it always be in our hearts so that we keep first things first.

Thank God for giving us the Lord Jesus Christ so that we can have our sins forgiven and eternal life in Him. Thank God for you! Take care and God bless.

Hi Denise!!

My CHRISTmas is going to be very small this year, although I did put a lot of effort into it. Handmade items for each of the kids and a few friends--and that's it!!

I didn't drive myself insane trying to get to the malls, fight traffic and people in line. Made for a much calmer and less stressful holiday.
