Marriage Monday-Finances-10 Tips For Frugal Living

1) Use coupons 2) Do not use credit cards, cut them up. 3) Have a weekly menu. 4) Bundle internet, phone, and cable services. 5) Enjoy free entertainment, such as free concerts, taking walks, going to the park, etc. 6) Conserve energy, turn off lights when you leave a room, unplug your computer when you are not using it, close the door to rooms you are not using, do one large load of laundry instead of several small loads. 7) Make a budget, and stick to it. 8) Feed the pig twice a month, before you pay bills, put some many into your savings account. 8) Buy clothes from thrift stores, and recycle your old clothes. You do not always have to have the latest fashions. 9) Cut your own hair at home. 10) Buy generic products when possible.

Denise,

Number seven is excellent and I enjoyed all of your suggestions. Girl, however, if I cut my own hair.... it would be scary. *grin*

Have a fantastic week. Thanks for stopping by my place. Hugs~

Enjoy free entertainment! It amazes me how many people do not take advantage of what their own communities have to offer.

Great ideas! We're looking into bundling our internet, phone, and cable. We know our bill will drop.

Your idea of taking care of your hair at home is also great. I started doing my own hair this year and though I still make an occasional trip to the salon for special treatments, I've saved a ton by doing my hair here at home.

I'm not quite ready to cut up my credit cards yet, but I have learned to use them less...LOL!

Thanks for sharing your tips. I enjoyed my visit here.

Ah yes, cutting up the credit cards. I forgot that we are doing this now too. We have our debit card and cash rules now. We do keep an Amex because I have to pay out-of-pocket for business travel at times but I am a firm believer now on setting credit cards aside...they are just trouble. trouble. trouble. Did I say trouble?! Blessings -

Excellent points... we do many of these too. Feeding the pig... now that's the best one!

Thanks for joining us for Marriage Monday today, Shortybear. Hugs!!!
