Miracle Monday
I would like to share the miracle of a rose with you today. My dear momma always loved flowers, roses were her favorite(mine too). I always told her that God had blessed her with a green thumb, and me with a very black thumb. Everything she planted, grew beautifully. Everything I attempted to grow, died a horrible death very quickly. lol After my momma passed away in April of 2006, I told my husband that I was never going to plant any type of flowers again. My momma and I had planted a rose together several months before she had gotten so sick. Well, after she passed away, I was in deep mourning, and of course did not even try to take care of the plant. I knew it was going to die, there was no hope for survival. I never even watered it at all. I was in for a big surprise, or as I see it, a miracle. That rose is the most loveliest thing I have ever seen, it continues to bloom every year. I never do anything to it, and it still grows. I call it my miracle rose from heaven, thanks momma.

So very sweet. A rose from your mamma
That is a very touching story Denise. :)
Oh my gosh!!! It's like she [your mom] is up in heaven making sure that rose of yours will bloom forever! I love this miracle rose.
May your week be blessed my friend!!!
This is a very special post! Mother had a rose outside the window of her bedroom. It was a climbing one on a trellis. I always meant to get a cutting from it and try to grow it. My nephew decided he was going to dig up the rose bush after they bought the house which was his right, of course. My older sister went and got it and planted it behind her house. It is thriving still. I may yet get a piece of it when I move into my next house. Mother always called it a Mother's Day Rose because it would begin to bloom at that time of year.
I'm so happy for you that the rose you and your Mother planted together is growing and blooming. It is a good legacy and memory that you can cherish.
Love you, too!
Mama Bear
How touching! Thank you for sharing.
It reminds me of my rose bush from my best friend's family. They had given the church and myself a rose bush to remember her by. She lost her battle with breast cancer eight years ago. I have other rose bushes, but her rose bush flurishes. The rose bush at the church... It blooms every year at the anniversary of her death! It's a reminder from her that she's alive! Alive, no more pain, no more sorrow, she is forever blooming!
Thank you for sharing your miracle dear friend.
Hey Denise! What color is your rose?? Roses are by far the hardest things to grow, they don't so well for me either. Your mama is making sure you have a beautiful flower to remind you of her.
What a great story. That is so awesome! Hugs to you sweetie!
What a beautiful miracle. I love roses also. They remind me of Jesus's love for us. He took our thorns & made them into something beautiful.
This is so sweet! Thanks for sharing this with us! A lovely rose from your Momma. Love and hugs Grams
What a sweet miracle!
God takes care of all things...great and small!
Wow, that's so cool! I have a black thumb too Denise! Just one think we have in common!
So sweet Denise. You are always such an uplifting inspiration.

this is soooo cool! She really take care of the roses :D
have a blessed day!
How cool!
Roses can be oh so picky and require so much care. Maybe a little love kept it nourished?
Our momma's have a way of looking out for us even from heaven.
Thanks for sharing your "Miracle Monday"
Have a great week and God Bless.
What a beautiful miracle! Thank you for sharing this story, it made me smile and just feel good. Things like that always amaze me and just really increase my faith.
What a special reminder from God that He makes all things grow. I'm a black thumb too so I consider all growing things to be evidence of God's love!
Oh my! This was such a tribute to your momma, and your love for her. I miss my momma too- so very, very much. At times, it's so strong it takes my breath away. My mom loved plants and flowers as well. Roses were her favorite too, and I miss how she would leave a vase on my night stand for me to wake up to. I've surrounded myself with flowers just to feel closer to her, lately. Thaks for commin' by for a visit - and thank you for this beautiful post. It really touched my heart! ~Blessings!
