At The Well Monday-Family Vision

My husband and I have no children of our own, but we have been blessed to be surrounded throughout our married life with precious children. Our nephews and beautiful niece, the children at church, and our friends children. We have always had a vision for our marriage, and for the children we influence. We want Jesus to be seen in our marriage, we want to love each other, as well as others, the way Jesus unselfishly, and totally loves us. We want our home to be known as a safe haven for weary hearts. The kids in our life's, whom are all now teenagers, or older, have always known they are very welcome at our home. They know they can call us, or come over anytime, day or night. We are their 911, always ready to give them unconditional love, hugs, cookies, and assorted other late night snacks. May our vision never grow dim, only brighter for Jesus.

What an incredible vision! Can't think of a better one than that! Sounds like the very heart of God.

That is really awesome. There are so many kids out there who have no where to go, no 911.

If we lived in TN, my kids would be 2 happy, blessed campers. What a gift you are to children and their parents, Denise. xxxooogretchen

Bless you my friend! I have a niece who hasn't had children of her own. Along with her husband, they are youth ministers. They also have some nieces and nephews who have looked to them for guidance. God is good to provide the nurturing opportunities that you need and use them for the good of other's children. I'm very sure you are a blessing in their lives.
Although, I have children and grandchildren of my own, I've tried to be that kind of influence in the lives of my sister's children.

I think it is absolutely wonderful to have that open-door situation for the children/teens in your life! I'm sure it means a lot to them to know they can come to you any time.

Hope you have a great week!

Denise,

Having your own kids is not a prerequisite for havinig a family vision, and I was so encouraged to read your post. Thanks!

Blessings,

There is such a need for Christians with a heart to touch the lives of God's little ones.
I pray that God in His wisdom will continue to expand your vision.
That He will make a way for the love you have stored in your heart to touch the lives of those who have no one to love them.

Hi, momma! Thanks for your warm visits. You really are a sweet woman in the Lord. With what you posted, I felt like coming to your home now. Sigh. I wish yours is just a block away from ours. Thanks for extending your home in the net. You are like a momma to me. God bless your robust heart! Your friendship is a gem! Blessed is your hubby for having a loving woman to grow old with.:$
