Memory Verse Monday

This week I am hiding this verse deep in my heart.:O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress. (Jeremiah 16:19) God is my strength, and my fortress. He is my refuge in times of sickness and much distress. No matter what I may have to go through, He is there to carry me through it. I give Him all the praise, all the days of my life. I love You Father.

He is my Strength, too! Speaking to me about it through the Psalms.

Praying that you feel God's strength upholding and encouraging you, that he is your refuge, your haven of hope.

I think sometimes people are afraid to say where they really are. They wear a tough facade and pretend.I think they are afraid that they will chase people away. And yet, we should feel safe in the body of Christ admitting that we are weak sometimes.
After all it is when we are weak that He is finally able to be strong.
If it was fine for those in the Bible to admit their need for help--maybe it is o.k for us to admit our need too.
Admitting that I am weak so that He can be strong.

Lord, I wish this sweet soul wasn't suffering so much. I wish You would heal her completely and take all her pain away. For some reason, You are allowing her to walk through this. I praise You because through her faith, mine is increased. Denise exemplifies in whom Your grace is truly sufficient. Thank You for her faith and for Your new mercies each day. You bless me so. In Jesus' name. Amen.
