Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Did you watch The Charlie Brown Christmas special Monday night? Who's your favorite Peanuts character, and why? No, missed it this year. Snoopy is my favorite Peanuts character, because he always makes me smile, and I love the snoopy dance!!

"Most psychiatrists agree that sitting in a pumpkin patch, is excellent therapy for a troubled mind."~Linus

Would you agree? Yes, I would agree.

2. Describe a sound from your childhood. What does this sound, bring to mind? Hearing my mom in the kitchen, as she was cooking another one of her delicious meals, sure do miss her.

3. You've won a trip to a winter wonderland...would that excite you? Which one of the following would you most want to experience (or which one would you dislike the least)-see the Aurora Borealis in Norway, stay in
Sweden's Ice Hotel, go dogsledding in Lapland Finland, take a winter wildlife safari in Yellowstone or celebrate Winter Carnival in Quebec. If I won a trip, I would be very excited. I would love to see the Aurora Borealis in Norway.

 4. Who, or what keeps you humble?God

 5. What part of preparing for Christmas, do you like the most? Explain. Baking, and Cooking.

 6. Gingerbread-yay or nay? Is making a gingerbread house, part of your family holiday tradition? I like Gingerbread, and Gingerbread Cookies. No, we do not make a gingerbread house, would like to.

 7. What's one thing you want to start, do, or complete, before the calendar rolls into a new year? Being more crafty.

 8. Insert your own random thought here. Be all that you can be, and then, be more!!

I'd like to see New York at Christmas or Colorado in the mountains. I don't care to travel anywhere out of the county. Traveling anywhere is scary to me. What keeps me humble is my own imperfections in my walking in grace. Thank God for grace.

I've always enjoyed baking for Christmas. Don't bake as many things since I like to stay low carb. Also we have changed our meal plan over the last few years. We do Lou Malnati's pizza from Chicago. (frozen) One of our favorites and that way I just make snacks and appetizer's and dessert so I can be part of the party. On Thanksgiving I spend my entire day in the kitchen and I refuse to do that on Christmas Day!

I will miss baking at Christmas. My hubby and I are on a "heart healthy" diet, so there won't be much of that going on, this year. I used to be "crafty", too, but, these days, not so much.
Enjoy your holidays :)

I love the Charlie Brown specials and I didn't get to see it this time! I don't even know if it aired on a channel I get. :( Sending you love and hugs.

Y'know I have NEVER even tried making a gingerbread house. I just don't think I'd have the patience.

Love your answers today.

I like the Snoopy dance too but answered Charlie Brown. I like your blog design, it's so festive!

Love your Christmassy background and your random thought. I'm gradually fitting in more crafting. Working on Christmas bunting right now so need to get a move on!

I do love your thoughts on this one. I am not much for traveling so I would just love to curl up in front of a fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Snuggling with my hubby would be part of this too.
I love Snoopy too! As a young girl, I loved falling asleep listening to the sounds of my parents visiting with their friends.
I like to plan and prepare for our Family Christmas Party. I love doing the Nativity with my grandchildren.
I would love before the new year rolls in to get a book that I keep trying to find time to read actually read.
Blessings and hugs for this one!
