Tuesday@Ten-Imagine

I close my eyes, and imagine my life, if I had never had a stroke, heart attack, triple bypass surgery, or attempted suicide. Aww, how different things would be. No physical limitations, no constant doctor appointments, no daily pain. No huge emotional baggage to carry around. What a great life it would be!!. ..........................   Stop, wait just a minute!! Wow, what an imagination I have. Now, let's take a look at a thing called reality. If I had not walked through the fire, I would never have had the opportunity, to rise up from the ashes. No, I am not who I use to be, but, I remain, Whose I use to be, God's!! He restored me, and revived me, to a better place, than I could have ever imagined.

Loved how you said you remain "whose" you used to be!
You are being refined by His fire, and so am I.
((hugs)) love you.

What a great attitude, Denise! It is certainly true that we have walked through makes us who we are.

I am happy you have made it this far! Glad to call you a blogging friend!! God wants us to have these struggles for a reason, doesn't he? Sometimes (well, most of the time) the reasons are known only to HIM!

It is hard for me to be grateful for my life's hardships, because I know many people don't have such struggles, but your viewpoint on it is healthy and positive. I need to shift to more of that thinking.

Good perspective, dear. We make prettier mosaics and reflect more light after Jesus puts the broken pieces together, as only he can.

Love you more than sparkles!

Great write. It is sad how we choose to ignore God until He gets our attention through our health. Praise God that he brought you through. :)
