Tuesday Afternoon

April, 2012 the cutest little bundle of joy was welcomed into the Oldham family. We adopted her from our local animal shelter. She is half lab, and half pit bull.  I named her Coco Maria Oldham.  She brings so much joy into my life, I love her with all of my heart. Whenever I am sick, which can be quite often, she truly watches over me. She lays right beside me in the bed, or in my recliner. Never leaves my side When I get up to go to the bathroom, or kitchen, she walks right beside me. I call her nurse goodbody, lol She would never hurt anyone, bless her heart, she has a nervous problem.  When she hears a lawnmower, weed eater, any kind of siren, fire crackers, thunder, or rain, she freaks out!! She hides under the bed, in the closet, or in the bathroom, beside the commode. The vet recently put her on Xanax. Poor baby. Why am I writing about my dog? Because she is definitely my faithful companion. She has helped me deal with my stress, and my health. She brings joy and laughter into my life, which is very good for the soul  She sleeps in the bed with me and Eddie, right beside me, we share the same pillow. I will never forget the night I attempted suicide. Eddie was sleeping, but Coco was wide awake. She kept licking me, and moaning. Those big, beautiful brown eyes of hers, kept staring me right in the face. I believe with all of my heart, that she knew something was wrong, and she wanted it to stop. God has blessed me in so many ways, and one of those great blessings is my fur baby Coco. Thank You Lord.

Our pets have a 6th sense. It's amazing the love, loyalty and protective instinct they have regarding their family. I'm so thankful for Coco.

Cocoa needs you. If you forget everything else remember that. Daisy is the same. I think rescue dogs have a 'sense' about them. I call Daisy my velcro dog. She is stuck to me. I'm working longer hours now. She goes to the door at 2:00 waiting on my. The Cowboy tries to get her to come away but she acts funny. She hasn't figured out my new schedule yet. We have saved them. We have to 'be' for them. XXOO.

It is amazing how much our dogs care for us and just know when we need them. It looks like you were meant to find Coco and she was meant to be with you. She is a sweetie :)

I know just how you feel about Coco...Bud is the same way with me, except he is not as cuddly. Jeff and I rescued a pit/lab mix this summer from a busy road where he stopped our van...we kept him for only three days, and then the owner came and got him...although I was sad to see him go, I was happy to reunite him with his owner! He was so sweet and very cuddly like your Coco...and looked very similar too...Bud was not too happy to share the bed with the little guy though, and he has been a bit more cuddly since his visit.
Sasha used to let me know whenever I was having a bad pain day before I even woke up by putting her head on my stomach and pinning me down, then I would wake up and know even before I moved that it was gonna be one of those days.

Denise, how beautiful...Your Coco is beyond precious, and I love her nick name "goodbody" it's perfect!
I believe our animals are quite aware of things going on in our lives, from illness to stress and even sadness. They are amazing, and gifts from the Lord to bless our hearts with joy.

Sweet love to you, dear Denise.

I find our pets to be such a blessing in our lives. We certainly feel the same about our Sammy as you do Coco. I do think they are such faithful loving friends. I am amazed at how smart they really are. I am so happy you have this wonderful pet to bless your life through sunshine and rain.
sending love and hugs!

I believe that God has a special purpose for our furry friends. And for me, dogs are just the best of all. I'm so glad Coco was with you, and that God protected you that night. It wouldn't surprise me at all if when we finally get to heaven, we'll find out that our dogs were angels in disguise!

GOD BLESS!
