Five Minute Friday-Learn

This week, I have learned how precious life is. I have learned how very much, I love hearing my husband's heartbeat. On Tuesday evening, my husband's heart stopped beating for twenty long seconds, which actually, to me, seemed like twenty years. We immediately went to the hospital, where they already had him a room. On Wednesday afternoon, they took him into the operating room, where they placed a pacemaker inside his chest. As I waited for the procedure to be over, I learned, I could cry like a baby. I learned, that I had a lot to talk about with my Father. I learned, that inside my head, was a tape recording, saying over, and over, Eddie"s heart stopped, Eddie"s heart stopped. I learned, I could have lost my husband. I learned, that it could have went from us, to me, very quickly. I learned, that my heart, could have stopped, if his had not started beating again.

How blessed you were to be able to hear the heart and the silence. Knowing both is valuable. My mom is a nurse, and because of that she has saved my dad twice from heart attacks. I'm thankful you husband, Eddie, and my dad are still alive and well with hearts that beat in love for us. I pray you have a blessed weekend as you snuggle your husband. May God bless you with his presence and peace always. Love, Jenn Cook (your FMF neighbor)

Denise,
and most of all, I hope you learned that Your heart beating is just as valuable as Eddie's. *hug* Your life is so precious and valuable. If you were not there, he would have been alone. If ever those dark days come back to try and torment you, Ephesians 2:10. "God made us to do good"
God wanted you to be there and you can tell the enemy where to go. *wink*
He loves you and Eddie oh so much! This must have been so scary. Thank you for sharing, in the midst of it. Your transparency is so beautiful. You allow God to shine through you!!
Love,
Tammy
And as always, I so appreciate your visits to my posts!!

I can relate to your feelings. My dear husband had a heart attack at age 45 and then about 9 months later a double by-pass surgery. Then in 2007 he had a stint put in. It has all been so scary. I can't even imagine life without my dearest companion. In our faith we believe we have an eternal marriage which brought great peace to my soul.
Sending continued prayers for you both. Hugs!
