Thankful Thursday On Friday

What am I feeling thankful for this week? My husband's heartbeat, it is a beautiful, precious thing. His heart stopped beating this week for twenty seconds, which to me, seemed like twenty years. We had to immediately get to the hospital, where they already had him a room waiting. That was Tuesday evening, on Wednesday afternoon, they took him to the operating room, where they placed a pacemaker inside his chest. As I kissed him, and walked away, so they could take him into the operating room, I immediately went to the restroom, and began to cry like a baby. I prayed, and prayed, until they brought him into recovery. In my mind, a tape recorder was playing, saying over and over: Eddie"s heart stopped, Eddie"s heart stopped. I could have lost him. No more us, just me. I truly felt like my heart was going to stop. Father, thank You for saving Eddie, and bringing him through this. Please continue to watch over him.

Such a wonderful thing to be thankful for...that Eddie made it through this and he now has a pacemaker. Prayerfully this will not happen again. I am glad that you still have him! I often think about how I would handle losing my husband who is the dearest man on earth! Thankfully we both still have them with us! Haven't been to your blog for a bit, but just love it. Have a wonderful day...this is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.

Oh my gosh you dear girl; I am so sorry that you had to go through this all. First you with your heart and now him. I would guess this will just bring you closer than ever.
Prayers and blessings for you both and lots of love and hugs being sent your way.
I am so happy that he is OK!
