Word Wednesday

John 15:2New International Version (NIV)
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.

Footnotes:

  1. John 15:2 The Greek for He prunes, also means He cleans.  I am definitely in a pruning season. Attempting suicide, is a sign of ugly, rotting fruit. I praise God for taking out His powerful pruning shears, and showing satan, that I belong to Him only. He continues to cut away the diseased fruit from my life, so that once again, I will be fruitful for Him.He promises, that I will be even more fruitful, than I was before. Thank You my precious God. I love You.

Good WORD Denise!!!

We all need a "pruning" ... real good application of this verse!

Actually, suicide and attempting suicide (as you and I know) are a drastic attempt or cry for help and someone to notice or change what's going on. You have suffered a long, long time. I'm so thankful that your foolish attempt was unsuccessful.

Good fruit or rotten fruit, satan tries to taunt us and stop us from loving God and knowing how much God loves you that He has a plan for you for good, plans to proper you and not harm you (unlike satan) so stay on guard and don't believe the lies, arm yourself with God's Truth.

Continue filling your mind and thoughts with God's Promises in His Word (whether it's Weds. or not, every day is time for God and His Truth). Claim and proclaim one every day!!! Stay strong. May God heal all your wounds and bring a total healing from the top of your head to the wee little toe (hope that foot healed already) ... anyways sending much love so you know that we are not cut off from the branch nor each other ... only the branches with bad fruit, right? We need to be connected to the Source - the SON! We need to be connected to other Christian believers for strength and support! We need to be a part of the Branch and receive His Living Water daily. Pruning is different than being cut off ...and you were cut off from us (your Christian community) that keeps you breathing life and holding on to God, as your very breath and source for life. He is your Vine and the Vinedresser! You have good fruit!
Thanking Him with you! ~Peggy (OK, this is all I can do today) Love you and thanks for letting me know you're back. Please take care and stay in touch somehow, some way. Without Marsha and Cathy passing on much, I would not have known anything. So grateful for them!

I am so sorry that you have been through so much. We really do need each other and when I got your comment today, my first thought was I hope Denise is feeling better. Know that there are always people who care and there is always hope in Jesus. He is the lifter of our heads. A friend told me that when I was had my lowest point. I understand depression. Satan will use it so that we are unable to see clearly and despair of life, but God is stronger than our despair, our depression and life itself. Prayers continue as you let God renew and refresh you. Blessings, my friend.

Dearest Denise, I was so happy to see your comment on my blog. I just read your post before this one. Whenever I can't see anything good in myself (and it happens regularly, because I struggle with depression and osteoarthritis), I try to remember this Scripture: New American Standard Bible "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?". This reminds me that even if I cannot see anything good in myself, God created me and He does! Sending you a warm hug and much love.
