Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. I've read several posts and status updates recently, describing end of year school field trips. Do you remember taking school field trips as a kid? Where did you go, and do you recall a favorite? For any parents responding today, have you ever chaperoned a school field trip, and if so where? Oh yes, I remember taking school field trips. I remember going to the coke a cola bottling company. I really enjoyed it, especially at the end of the plant tour, because we all got a free coke.

2. What's something you're tired of seeing online? The Kardashians

 3. June is the month for roses. Which of the following expressions would you say could most recently be applied to your life-'everything's coming up roses' 'there's no rose without a thorn' came out smelling like a rose' or 'wearing rose-colored glasses'?
There is no rose, without a thorn.

4. When grilling outdoors do you prefer gas, or charcoal? Who does the grilling at your house? What's the last thing you ate that was cooked on a grill? I prefer charcoal, my husband Eddie does the grilling, last thing I ate cooked on a grill was a delicious steak.

 5. Are you afraid of the dark? No, Jesus is the light of my world.

 6. Share a favorite song with a number in its title. My husband and I both love, Still the one by Orleans.

 7. "Everything that irritates us about others, can lead us to an understanding about ourselves."(C.G. Jung) Do you agree? Why or why not? Yes, I do agree. We might realize, that what is truly irritating us, is that person, reminding us of our own irritating self. lol

8.  Insert your own random thought here. I will be going to see my neurologist tomorrow morning. We will be discussing wheather or not, I will be having brain surgery, to clean out a 100% blocked artery in the back of my brain, and put a stent in. Life is so fragile, definitely handle it with care, and much prayer my friends.

Your life is in God's very capable hands..I will be praying for you as you speak with your neurologist tomorrow.
I love you.
Heavenly Father I lift Denise up to you now, You know exactly what it is that she needs...You not only created her body, but you also gave her doctors the skill and knowledge that they need to treat her...Keep her in perfect peace tomorrow as she speaks with her doctor, and give her a clear understanding about what must be done to fix this blockage...you have already gone before her into the room that she will be entering...you have prepared it with everything she will need, and your presence will be with her when she enters it.
~In Jesus~ Amen

Thank you for stopping by my Hodgepodge post today. It's nice to 'meet' you!

I love your song choice, and it's one of my favorites, as well. I made a 40th anniversary video for my husband using that song, a couple of years ago.

I hope your visit with the neurologist goes well. Sending prayers up in your behalf!

Hi Denise, so enjoyed these random questions and your thoughts. Yes, I remember school trips and my favorite was always Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
My hubby and I love the same song.

Prayers for your doctor visit. I hope all goes well with the best decision.
Blessings

Oh, dear, possible brain surgery-- or any procedure on the brain, for that matter--is certainly cause for much prayer and consideration of the fragility of life. Thank you for the reminder. Hope you get clarity and that peace is your steady companion. Of course the Prince of Peace is!

Good morning Denise! I enjoyed your Hodgepodge! I am praying for you appointment tomorrow!
I remember those field trips. Our kids don't get to do many of those things anymore. To busy trying to cram in the latest technology or prep for the next state test. No wonder kids don't like school anymore.
Hope you have a bright and beautiful day!

Happy to know more of your thoughts. there are things here that we are alike. Yes, life is so fragile that we need to live for today and make the best out of it. Choices that we made today will affect our tomorrows.
You are in my prayer Denise.
