Encourage

Do you lift people up, or bring them down? Do you encourage, or discourage, with your words, and your actions? Or, do you even think before you speak? Come on people, do not pour salt on someone's wound, or, throw darts at their hurting heart. Instead, try turning their frown upside down. Share your hugs, your love, your time, and of course, your prayers. I guarantee you, not only will it make someone else feel better, but you will feel much better. Now, go on, lift someone up today. No more tearing down!!

How easy it is to simply give an encouraging word. And yet there are people who insist upon devouring others with an unkind word. As followers of Jesus, that should have no place in our lives.

We should always try to build others. After all we are all brothers and sisters and it doesn't make us better to put others down. Thanks for the reminder!

So true my friend. Over the years I've let go of people in my life who have nothing good to say. There is too little time to spend with those that can't be encouraging or supportive. Hugs.

You have a gift for encouragement!

Our words have the power to lift high or bring down low. If only more would consider this before speaking (or typing) :)

When we are critical, we grow small. When we elevate, we grow tall. It's designed that way. Besides, it is so much more pleasant to spend time with someone who looks for the good.

Blessings!

Amen to this one. The world would be such a lovely place if we all did this one. We are encouraged to pray daily to know whom we might lift.
Blessings, love and hugs!
