5 K Run

Happy Monday everyone, praying your week started out filled with blessings. Mine started out with a dilemma. The 5 K Run For God is coming up soon, Saturday, June 1st. Well, Lovebug shared his heart with me over the weekend concerning the run. Truthfully, he does not want me to run in it, he is worried about my health. He is fine with me walking whenever I choose, and running a little bit, but not overdoing. He does not want me to push my limits. So, I am very confused now, thinking, and praying, very much concerning the upcoming race. Any opinions, or advice, would be appreciated. I love you all.

Hi Denise,
Well, I cannot tell you what you should do. But your husband does know you best. I am not as goal oriented as I should be myself, but the support of your husband is important...God gives them to us for our covering (protection)...just keep praying about it :) ~God bless~ Lisa

Go with your gut feeling. Your husband is only looking out for your best interest. You should definitely take his opinion into consideration. You should be very proud of your accomplishments thus far. You'll know the right decision...the one that doesn't give you anxiety and leaves you second guessing yourself. Blessings to you!

It is a difficult decision. If I were you, I probably do what Eddie says. But pray about it and hear from God.

I will be praying for Gods wisdom and direction for you. That God will lead you into perfect peace. Walking I think would be wonderful. That way your not over doing or pushing it. God will show you.
Blessings

Hi Shortybear, I agree with your Lovebug. I don't think doing this walk or run is such a good idea given all the health problems. If you feel up to it, perhaps 1 kilometre or 1 mile but I wouldn't do 5. I pray that God would give you some peace about a decision that both you and Lovebug can live with. Hugs. xx

I think that since you have gone through so much that walking would be best. I can understand how your husband is fearful for you.
Blessings on this one!

So many congratulations, Denise!! Happy Birthday to Coco, and a very Happy Anniversary to you and Lovebug! What a blessing to be together-in-heart on this very special day.

So, you're asking for advice? Truthfully, I'm a little worried about this 5K, too. And, if Lovebug is once again showing his protective concern for you, maybe it would be a good thing to heed his advice.

Keep in touch.

GOD BLESS!

(Would appreciate your prayers - I am currently staying with my elderly parents for about 10 days. Dad fell really bad, and they are both sick. Thanks, dear friend...)

Are you able to run it? Even slowly? If so, then it might be an important thing for you. But I'm no doctor, friend. Explore this with him before deciding.

I'm proud of you either way. Keep moving forward.

I think you know best what you could take about these things like exertion.

Anyway, if your husband thinks otherwise, it may be good for you. You can be at the by-line or with it going slower.

Pray about it, okay!

Ask God to reveal. Here's a thought. Walk and work up to running for next year. Why the hurry!
Just being able to walk that far could be a huge accomplishment. It's a Blessing that Eddie share his heart and that his heart cares.
Praying for you.
Hugs

I agree with your love bug. If it is going to make him fearful I would not do it but I can see walking it...perhaps run next year.
