Marriage Repair
Well, things are truly happening here at the Oldhams. In the last couple of days, I have seen glimpses of my lovebug, my husband. I am slowly seeing that stranger, his evil twin, who has been living here since I had my stroke, preparing to pack his bags and leave, never to return. I can actually breathe a sigh of huge relief. I am so ready for the yelling, cursing, being treated like a room mate, instead of a wife, no kindness ever, only cruelness, ready for it to all be gone. Cannot wait to see the sun come out behind all these huge clouds of darkness here at my home. I want the thunder to be replaced with calm quiet. For the first time since my stroke, (18 months ago) Eddie talked to me about his feelings. He was angry as he talked, but, that is ok. I just praise God that he expressed his feelings. He said, he felt like he was locked up behind a huge glass. He said, he was so filled with anger. He said, I want my old self back, but, I do not know how to get him back. It broke my heart to hear him say that, bless his precious heart. I reached my hand out to him, and I said, honey take my hand, I will help you break free from that glass enclosed angry place. I promised him that God still loves him, and so do I. Together, the three of us will get through this, my marriage will be repaired. Shortybear and Lovebug, are going to recover from this bad season. What satan has tried to destroy, will be better than ever.

At first I thought you meant He was leaving.I'm glad,if I understood right, that there is a new beginning.I pray you do have peace in your home with the "old" shotybear that you love.Thank you so much for the love you sent My way.OX-Denise
I am praising the LORD with you! Looks like all your prayers and fasting for his restoration are being answered! Love is patient, kind, and LONGSUFFERING~ which you have been! ♥♥♥
Amen!! Glad he is opening up to you. Praying that together you walk down the journey of healing and become closer than ever.
Praise the Lord, Denise. It does sound like a break through. Eddie will find peace nowhere but with Christ. It doesn't mean nothing bad happens, but it does mean that there's a deep-down peace, despite whatever circumstances are swirling around us. God is faithful.
Prayer really works!
We have been praying for Eddy!
It must be hard for a man to see his wife suffer, and he can't just "fix it". That is the way men are, they do not know how to deal with anything that they cannot fix, like a stroke.
~Praising Jesus, and still praying~
God bless your home~ Lisa
Praise God! I'm so happy for you, Denise. I have been praying for you.
Hallelujah and Praise the Lord! Love always wins and it sounds like you are a vessel full of love!
A cord of 3 strands is not easily broken...even if one is frayed, it still has strength from the other two;)
Continueing to pray~
Just now reading this- tears came to my eyes and you shared your conversation. Major health situations have a way of really scaring people and many times causing lots of fear and that fear comes out in anger. I am so happy to hear that your husband is coming to a place of opening up his heart with you. God is truly working. Will continue to pray, Lisa :O)
This is good news indeed! Praying for Eddie and you. Sometimes the enemy does seem to trap us in a place of anger or depression or guilt, etc. And it can feel like we're *boxed in*. But God is able to break through these strongholds. Sounds like Eddie's glass box is starting to crack. Praise the Lord!
GOD BLESS!
God is good, Denese.
I'm so happy for you,Bless The Lord in all time, amen.
So glad to hear that, dear friend. Praying for you two and your marriage. Love you ~
I pray that this is only the beginning of great things to come for you both!
Amen to that Denise:)
It is difficult for a man to open up and express his feelings. I am glad that he did. Of course he is angry, and no doubt blames God for trouble. actually God had nothing to do with it, blame it all on Adam's curse that brought all this disease and sickness into the world. We suffer, yes, and soon there will be a release from pain for us all. Rejoice even when the thunder claps so loud, and the rain torrents roll. God is in control.
To have him open up like that is the beginning of his healing....praise God.!!!!
So very glad for you Denise! I will continue to pray that your relationship is mended and strengthened!
I'm praying for you. So glad that things are getting better. God will walk through this with you.

Power of Pray. Power of God's mighty hand and healing touch. And itsn't it amazing he allows us to go through such sorrowful and hurtful times so that we can minister to someone else. I know you have had a very heartbreaking time. But know that even while you pour your heart out here to your friends and even those who don't even really know you, you are also helping other people. Maybe not people with marriage illnesses, but maybe just helping people see or remember that God is
sufficient and that he hears and heals our hurts. And that he collects our tears and washes them away. Thank you for the update. Thank you for the encouragement you give. Praise God for your breakthru. Still praying for you.
Love
Amen! Things will start getting better. Praise God! The Lord will not allow your marriage be completely destroyed. The enemy will not win ever!!! I'm so happy for you, denise!
So thankful for this encouraging change, Denise. God IS faithful. Hang in there, my friend.
