Weekend Update

Wow, what a week, and weekend!! I pray yours was much better. As most of you know, I found out  Wednesday night that I have a stalker. I reported it to the police, but they were not any help. I told my apartment manager, but all he cares about is his rent. I told my husband, he showed little concern, just made a joke about it. The rest of the week, I felt like I was playing hide&seek, taking Coco out, when that guy was not out in front of my apartment. He actually knocked on my door once on Thursday, crazy!! Then, on Saturday night, my husband and I had to go to Walmart, to get some groceries. As soon as we walked into the store, at the very front of the store, there stood a group of about six people. The group consisted of four guys, and two girls. The minute they saw me, they started staring, pointing, and laughing very loudly about me. They were making fun of me being bald, everyone turned to see who they were talking about, because they were so loud. They kept saying, dang, look at that bald headed woman, she is totally bald. Man, that woman has not got any hair. They kept laughing, and laughing. What did I do? Started crying. What did my husband do? Got angry with me. He looked at me, and said, stop crying right now, or we are leaving. He said, shrug it off, stop crying. Did he help? No, his words hurt me also, but, I quit crying, stuffed my hurts deep down, and walked on through the store. Does anyone understand how that made me feel, to be publicly embarrassed? I am only human. God was with me, I know that, or I would have just sat down in the middle of the store, and started screaming!!

Oh I am so very sorry to hear about your rough week-weekend. That is so very sad. You were very strong - but I know it must have hurt you deeply. 1 Peter 5:8 Satan uses whatever, whoever in order to attack us. Hold tight to God. You will be in my prayers for sure. <> Love ya, Lisa :O)

(((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))You may not believe this or not, but I wish I had COURAGE to cut all my hair off because I think it is so beautiful....and I just may do it Denise..for you...to show you that your beautiful girl...Want to share a devotional with you that I have in all my inspirational junk journals..
This is My Doing. 1 Kings 12:24
"My child, I have a message for you today.

Let me whisper it in your ear so any storm clouds that may arise will shine with glory, and the rough places you may have to walk will be made smooth. it is only four words, but let them sink into your inner being and use them as a pillow to rest your weary head. "this is My doing" (Streams in the Desert)

Have you ever realized that whatever concerns you concerns Me too? "for whoever touches you touches the apple of My eye (Zech 2:8). You are more precious and honored in My sight (Isaiah 43:4). Therefore it is My special delight to teach you.

"I want you to learn when temptations attack you, and the enemy comes in 'like a pent-up flood'(Isa 59:19), that 'this is My doing." And that your weakness needs My strength, and your safety lies in letting Me fight for you.

"Are you in difficult circumstances, surrounded by people who do not understand you, never ask your opinion, and always push you aside? "this is My doing." I am the God of circumstances. You did not come to this place by accident - you are exactly where I meant for you to be.

"Have you asked Me to make you humble? Then see that I have placed you in the perfect school where this lesson is taught. Your circumstances and the people around you are only being used to accomplish My will.

"Are you having problems with money, finding it hard to make ends meet? "This is My doing", for I am the One who keeps your finances, and I want you to learn to depend upon Me. My supply is limitless and I 'will meet all your needs"(Phil. 4:19). I want you to prove My promises, so no one may say, 'you did not trust in the Lord your God.' (Deut 1:32)

"Are you experiencing at time of sorrow? This is My doing.I am a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering (Isa. 53:3). I have allowed your earthly comforters to fail you so that by turning to Me, you may receive 'eternal encouragement and good hope. (2 Thess. 2:16)

You poor dear, the things you go through, Denise. Isn't it hard to understand why people can be so cruel. Then again, they do not know Jesus, do not know the love and joy that we have in Christ. They are the ones who should be pitied.

We love you, hair or not. :-) You're wonderful - and beautiful!♥♥

Denise, you need to write down your conversation with the stalker, and every time you see him outside your building. Keeping track can help police, and you should involve them! Praying for your safety.((hugs))

oh dear, sorry that you have to go through all that. those people were mean! you know, eddie was right when he said shrug it off, although i wish he said it sweetly than angrily. i totally understand how hurtful those people did to you, but dear, don't ever forget how loved and treasured you are by a lot of people. forgive me for saying this, but sometimes you just have to look pass trashy people and focus more on the positive. doesn't matter what they say. what God says you are does. we love you, denise. God will deal with those people. don't worry about it much. our God is a just God. He will redeem you and that i know for sure!

Dear Denise,
I continue to be amazed by your gentle heart amidst so much pain.
I will pray for your husband.
My grandmother, mother and sister all had severe hair loss...so I never take for granted that it has not struck me (yet).
It is hard to see other people being so heartless and cruel!
My Mother always said that they must be jealous of something that you have, and the only way they can feel pretty or big is to belittle someone else.
Remember that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
I was telling my daughter about how I came across the sweetest blogger, who talks about not having any hair, but has such a sweet spirit and is beautiful to everyone who knows her...She liked your name too. (shortybear)

If I seen you crying in Walmart, I would have to sit down and cry right along with you...not because I feel sorry for you, but because I feel sorry that people can be so mean and ugly...Don't they know that we are all made in the image of God?
Don't they know how precious each one is? No they do not, therefore they are to be pitied for their lack of integrity joy and peace...all things which a Child of God like you knows...they have instead vanity, and hard cold hearts that know not God, nor do they have peace...only turmoil in their lives.
~God bless you and restore your joy, my sweet sister...you are priced above all the rubies in this world!
~In Christ's love~

You poor thing how aweful and cruel all that behavior is and scary to have a stalker to boot! Than you Jesus has a hedge of protection encamped about you and that no weapon formed against you should ever prosper in Jesus name. You are beautifully and wonderfully made and how dare someone make fun of you. Thank you that you dont walk alone and that the Lord is with you always. Sad your husband couldnt see the hurt and pain and be your defense. It is his own loss and will have to answer for it on his day of judgement. It is even sadder that the truth is he sees no worth in himself. Because you are half of him so when someone makes fun of you they are making fun of him too. I am praying the Lord reveal His truth and love to your husband and that He would value you as the Lord does. Know you are prayered for and your tears are like diamonds to the Lord held in a jar. Hugs my precious friend. I pray this week goes much smoother and better for you.
Blessings

What a cruel world. Imagine if they get sick and looses their hairs too.
I wish I can comfort you. If it was me, maybe I will talk to that young guys and tell them the reason why I am bald. Maybe they will be ashamedof themselves. Praying for you Denise and your husband.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, Denise. It is terrible that children are not taught any manners these days. Unfortunately that's the kind of people you might run across in Wal-Mart these days. :( You are the apple of God's eye. He loves you with an everlasting love. Love and Hugs ~

In today's times, I can't believe that those kids would actually point out the fact that you were with no hair. I can empathize with you tho, that was cruel. You need to find comfort...and God be with you.

Oh Denise. I cannot believe the cruelty of some people. This is a harsh world. Thankfully, we do not have to listen to the lies.

In God's eyes, we shine. We are beautiful. We are a masterpiece. We are loved.

By the way, I happen to think that you are beautiful on the outside, too.

GOD BLESS!

So sorry, Denise, I think what hurt so much was Eddie and the way he acted about everything. I will be praying that God touches his heart with renewed Love for you. That his heart will be tender toward you!! That he will fall in love all over again with you ! ♥ You!

WOW Denise! I'm so aghast at this happening again! People can be so cruel, even Eddie ... although I'm sure he means well and tries, that's uncalled for from him to add to their insults. Yet in part, he is right about shrugging this off, it's just the way he handled it. I'm so sorry that your sweet, sensitive, precious heart not only has to endure healing physically but also from 'stuff' like this. Totally uncalled for and unnecessary ... and the stalker too! Don't like the reaction of anyone from the police, to your manager, to Eddie! So inadequate! So thankful that we can pray a hedge of protection around YOU and your apartment (even from fire).

Father, we ask that You place a strong hedge of protection around Denise, guard Denise and her heart from further wounds and damage. You are Denise's Creator and Father and You care so much for her. Wrap her preciously in Your arms (and Coco too). Pour Your Holy Spirit's presence all over Denise to guide her with wisdom and each step she makes. You are with Denise! You go before Denise. Be her Guard and Defense in all ways that others are failing to do. Let Denise know how much You love her and we do as we pray and intercede daily for her and also her healing. We give this all to You. We trust You to place ministering angels to watch over Denise and keep her safe from all evil, all harm and ill treatment.
Assign a guardian angel to Denise, Lord, so no evil will touch her.
Bless Denise with knowledge of Your Presence and Your hand over her. When others fail us, You never do, You never let go. Thank You Lord for keeping Denise safe and the devotional that Angela shared!
We praise Your Name! I place Denise's hand in Yours with the confidence that comes from knowing that You will take good care. Teach Denise that she who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty ...

Pray Psalm 91 Denise before you go out and be sure that you are suited in your full armor of God.

Love you to God and back Denise,
Peggy

In regards to the stalker continue to take it seriously..record everything

As far as everything else..

There are words of comfort running through my mind...but as I read through what everyone else has said, I am certain that they are all right on.

So sweet Denise, let me just add one more thing in regards to the cruelty at the market.

"You can't fix stupid!!"

And as far as hubby, may his heart be softened and if he ever becomes bald...well, 'just take him to the supermarket', and make him wear a dress..

(you know, sometimes laughter is good medicine...and I am just in a mood to say it like I'm thinking)

Love you sweet lady..

Oh my gosh! This is horrible! I can't believe some people are like this! You know what the Lord told me about people who make fun of Him? He said, "if they talk about you, then they are talking about me -- that IS A PROBLEM!"
But that was just the enemy. The enemy loves to take our joy as soon as we get it. Know that you are wonderfully, marvelously, beautiful, and magically made Denise.
With or without hair, you're still adorable and sweet! :)
The Lord has also said, "But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto your enemies, and an adversary unto your adversaries.' - Exodus 23:22
Hugging your deep wounds that the Lord will heal them in no time.
"Come on come on get happy! We'er going to the promise land!"
Love you sister ♥

I can't imagine how awful this must have been for you. People can be so mean, so very cruel. I am so sorry that this happened to you because I think you are beautiful inside and out. I love your picture with Coco. Sometime those who abuse will someday know how sinful it really was to mock you.
Blessings and hugs to you!

You are a much braver Christian than I! I am so sorry someone hurt your feelings like that! My goodness, Walmart should have a manager or some security to help a customer in distress. Does not sit well with me. The ways of this world are evil!
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
God Bless you sweet friend, I am praying for you and know those mean unsaved souls do not know the beauty Christ knows.
" God sees not as man sees, man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7
Hugs to you
