Micah 6:8

Have any of you ever heard an old country music song by Mac Davis, called,"It's hard to be humble"? There is a line in the song, that says, Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble, when your perfect in every way. Yea, right!! Perfection, so many of us run around daily, trying to seek perfection. The perfect home, the perfect car, perfect clothes, perfect hair, perfect make-up, even perfect children!! Give me a break. No one is perfect, no one. I do not seek perfection, because, I realize, it is a useless endeavour. What do I seek? To be more like the one who created me, the definition of beauty, and imperfections. My Father God. Which means, I am not out daily buying more, and more things. Instead , I am seeking more of Him, and less of me.

It's hard to stand up and be alone. But I call that true courage. To do what is right. Because I know...there are no cowards in heaven. God bless you sister.

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I shut the computer off about noon and didn't turn it back on.
So I missed your post. I love how you ended it. Trusting Jesus with a bottle with your name instead of a bottle with medication. You are so right he is the great Healer. I am glad you were able to share your heart. It is important to let it out sometime. So will you be walking Cocoa. I was thinking myself I need an excersie regimine. I want to get my bike out of storage. Sometimes I feel like I want to ride it off for awhile and leave everything else behind. Thanks for your prayers and support. I am praying for the New You.
Hugs,
S.

Amen! Someone told me once to strive for excellence in whatever I do. Seeking to be perfect is such a waste of time so I strive for excellence in whatever the Lord has me do and I don't always succeed by any measure of the imagination but I do hope Father God is happy with my trying. Bless You!

It's so true, more of Him is what I want in this new year. That's more important than any thing else.

I have that song stuck in my head now...thank you, LOL!
Ahh~ perfection...we will be perfect only in our eternal home, that is when everything that does not line up with the word of God in us will be gone, no more sin, no more envy, fear, etc...We will be like Christ!
All we can do here on earth is to try to help others as much as we are able. And learn about Jesus!
~God bless~ Lisa
