Project Me

Well, I had an appointment with my endocrinologist this morning. She is the Doctor that takes care of my diabetes, and thyroid. My A1C level, which is averaging your blood sugars for the last three months, was 11.9. Normal is 6.0, last time, mine was 11.2. Not good!! My blood pressure was high, she increased my medicine. She has started me on more insulin, I will now be taking 5 shots a day, instead of 4. We discussed my project me plans, she was very helpful, as far as my diet, and exercise. I will be starting a low carb meal plan on Monday, along with an exercise plan. The exercise plan includes walking, doing exercises using wii games, and exercising with stretch bands.  She caught on quickly to the fact that something was bothering me, so I poured out my heart to her. Boy, did I ever, including crying like a baby!! She was very concerned, said she highly suggests that I get on anti- depressants. But, I am high on Jesus. I survive day by day, because of Him, and with Him. Awwwww, I have taken another step toward my healing. The tears were cleansing today, but, there are more to come. But, that is ok. God's got a bottle with my name on it, storing those tears, after He wipes them away.

Dear Heart, do not despair. One thing that I've found very harmful to blood sugars is too much stress and not enough exercise. Since you have a lot of stress concerning your marriage, your lack of human fellowship and your health, I think it would be very helpful to have about 30 minutes of silence and deep breathing daily. This is where you do nothing but lie down, maybe music but no words, and just let your body relax and still your mind...no words. Just breathe and each breathe release all the hurts and all the pains, body and emotional. I really think this would help you to lower your blood sugars along with whatever the doctor recommends. I also think you should take her advice and go on the anti-depressants. You do not have to go on them forever. When you feel better you can ask her about going off of them. But what is happening is the chemicals in your brain are now out of balance and they need to be rebalanced. You need the medicine for that just as you need daily shots to help your blood sugar. I pray you will start to see results soon. I love you. xx

At the end of trials, we find we have a testimony. Prayers for you. Also, consider Bachs Rescue Remedy stress drops. They help some people who are stressed without having to take a 'drug'.

I'm glad that you have the sort of doctor that you can bare your heart. That is at least a good portion of good health, in my opinion. Sorry those numbers weren't as good as you hoped, but maybe with Project Me you'll be able to work them down.

Praying that God continues to uphold you.

GOD BLESS!

It is good to release those pent up emotions....do not be afraid to take some medication to help take the edge of your depression and stress.Just tell the doctor you want a mild dose. The Lord may have provided the info for you.
