Happy Monday

Hope everyone had a wonderful day. I continue to be a patient patient. My Doctor was not in today when I called him. He is suppose to call me in the morning. Ok, enough about that. Guess what?? I am so excited. Lovebug and I did some Christmas shopping yesterday. We put a Wii game machine, and one game, in lay-away. Also, lovebug finally put a video camera in lay-away. We have wanted those two items for such a long time, but never could afford to get them. We were like two little kids at Walmart yesterday, lol Thank You Lord for Your kindness upon us. I have a question my friends. My computer is really trying to die on me, it is a desktop computer. Prayerfully, it will live until Christmas. I got my first computer in 2000, when it died in 2004, I got another one, until it died in 2009, then I got my current computer. They have all been desktop computers. Lovebug wants to get me a new computer for Christmas. I think I would like to have a laptop. I would like some opinions. Desktop, or laptop?? Thanks friends.

I hate that computers die and you have to keep buying new ones! continue to think and pray for you as you wait!

I say desktop. They are much cheaper and you can buy generic. Most people want laptops but they don't need them if they aren't travelling a lot.

If you didn't want to put out blog posts, I'd say use a netbook, those are very small and you can take them to the coffee shop like a laptop except they are a lot less expensive and more portable. But for me, I far prefer working on a desktop to a laptop any day. That's just me though.

I'm sure you'll get other opinions along the way ;-)

Love and hugs, xx

I am definitely a laptop advocate. I love that I can use it anywhere in the house and even on the porch. And it takes up so little room.
As for price, till you buy a monitor to go with a desktop you end up paying the same price or more than you would for a laptop. But it really comes down to personal preference.

I'm glad you had a nice day, Dear. I got a desktop, myself. But I guess I am just set in my ways. :) Love you ~

laptop!!! at least that is what I'm hoping to get next :) Mine is about to crash, I keep saving things, especially my pictures, so that when the day comes it won't find me unprepared. Computers don't last as long as they used too, it's such a bummer, bc they are expensive.
I hope you find something that you really like and suits your needs.
Blessings!

Both have different advantages. But I like the lap top when I can't go upstairs to use the desk top and easily look up a recipe from the lap top if I'm in the kitchen. Other times, if traveling, it's just convenient to bring it anywhere. I pray you'll find what suits you both best. Dropping by to send you hugs and prayers.

Which ever is more comfortable for you to use. I need the large screen because of my age.

Desk top for me. I have a lap top but it sits unused as we seldom travel.

I think I would like to have a laptop. My backup is full and I don't know what to do. I guess I'll call somebody that can tell me. It's a 500 gb and it says it's full. Even my desktop is full. I would have to keep my desktop. I can always add more gbs.

I like the desktop much better, but that's just my opinion!! I hope yours will last until you can get a new one! :)

We have had both. The laptop is nice to take along when we go somewhere. We had desktop first and liked it too, as long as you have space for it.
