Day 6-Praying For My Husband

Today's Verse: "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NASB)

True friends are hard to come by. True friends are those who challenge you to be your best, and help you up when you fall. Everyone needs true friends. The Christian life was never intended to be lived out alone. God knows we need others to help us along the way.

For years the tough guy in the movie was always the loner. He was independent, but alone. Men today need true friends. Not hunting or golfing buddies, but true friends that are there when you need them. Friends that love you when things are going well, and friends that remember you when things are falling apart.

Most men are lonely. Most men have very few, if any true friends. Christian men are no different. Christian men need Christian friends who will encourage them to walk with integrity and fellowship with God.

As you pray for your husband, pray God gives him some godly friends. Not just friends to go to the movie, or play golf with, but friends they can be comfortable with sharing their heart. Pray that eddie will not only have good, godly friends, but that he will be that type of friend.

Father I pray that you will give eddie some truly great Christian friends. I pray that he will have a true friend that he can be comfortable sharing his heart with. Please help him to be a true and godly friend to someone else as well.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, today I was reminded that we all need true friends. I am praying that God gives you a true friend that you can not only enjoy being around, but someone who you can share your heart with. I am also praying that you can a true and godly friend to some other man as well. love, denise
