He Will Carry Me

I have been in a very bad place recently, feeling so down. My health is really going downhill, but I am clinging tightly to the precious garment of Jesus. I feel so alone, but, I know Jesus never leaves me. Lovebug seems so cold, and distant. I wonder if he sees me anymore? The real me, the old Denise, before the stroke. Sometimes, I feel like screaming out to the world, "I had a stroke, but, I am still here. I did not die, I survived. I might be different in some ways, but I am still me. Denise is here, she never left. Her heart still beats, feels, and loves the same. Oh, and by the way, her heart still hurts too." This week, Jesus sent two angels along my path. On Thursday, we were at Walmart. This lovely black lady came up to me, she said, excuse me, but, I just wanted to tell you, that I think you have a beautiful head. I said, thank you so much. I think you are beautiful, your beauty shines from within. I said, please do not think I am a cancer patient, and I told her how I lost my hair. She said, it does not matter to me, you are beautiful, and we are sisters. I started crying, and we hugged. I needed that encouragement so much. Last night, I had taken coco out for a walk. One of our neighbors, that I had never met before, came outside. She started petting, and playing with coco. Of course, coco loved the attention. lol Well, we began talking, and eventually, I told her about having a stroke last year. She was so compassionate to me. She said, to have had a stroke, and been through all you have, you look great. I hugged her, and told her thanks. I said, you will never know how much I needed to hear those words. She said, she was happy to have met me, and she would remember me in her prayers. Woo Hoo, praise Jesus. I love this song, the words really speak to my heart. They express how I feel.

I'm thankful for the angels God sends our way. I hate that you're feeling so alone and forgotten. I know words are little comfort in times like these, but please know that I'm thinking of you and holding you close in my heart this morning.

I so wished I lived next door to you, I would come right over and give you a big hug or take you out for coffee, just us two girls. Loved the video and plan on sharing that with two other dear friends who have lost their spouses unexpectedly and are finding it difficult to go on. Thank you for your honesty in sharing your heart.

That is so cool! I love it when God not only tells us how much He loves us in His word but how He uses people too.

Joshua 1:9 "... Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Daniel 10:11,12

" He said to me, 'Daniel, greatly beloved, pay attention to the words that I am going to speak to you... Do not fear, Daniel, for from the the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words have been heard..."

Blessings to you dear sister! Fight for your joy! :D

You are so not alone. I know that Heavenly Father and guardian angels watch over you. Then of course there are those earthly angels that are sent to lift you up. I know you feel his love. Remember when someone you love is hurting that sometimes you are grieving too and don't know exactly how to help them.
Blessings, prayers and hugs to you!

What a blessing it was to receive those words of encouragement out of the blue from a complete stranger. But nothing is by accident. God puts people into our lives. He is with you, guiding you, carrying out His purposes in your life to glorify His name. Keep clinging to Him, Denise. You are a blessing to all!

Long & wearying health battles can be so depressing. I'm not surprised you get down. Even so, you manage to make your way around the blogosphere & lift a good many of us.

Be blessed & of good cheer, Denise. You are precious & loved.
