Preparing For The 90 Day Fitness Challenge

I learned about this 90 day fitness challenge, from my dear friend Marsha. She is on this challenge, and doing very well. She has lost 60 pounds so far, woo hoo!! She is actually teaching several 90 day fitness challenge classes now. I wish I lived by her, so we could do this together. But, I am still very blessed, she brought me the book, and several things she had copied off the computer for me, plus the resistance bands, I will be using to exercise. The book is called "The 90 Day Fitness Challenge", it was written by Phil, and Amy Parham. They are a married couple, former contestants on "The Biggest Loser". They are both awesome Christians. Marsha is going to be my personal trainer, anytime, I have a question, or need some encouragement, I will either email her, or call her. Thanks so much Marsha, love, and appreciate you.  She of course, has already been doing the challenge, so she is farther along than me. I am just now starting. She told me to read chapter one this week, which is titled, Dream About What You Want Your Life To Be.       Definition of dream- a strongly desired goal, or purpose.   When we dream, let's dream about everything. Let's examine these areas of our life. Mental-  I want to learn to love, and accept myself.  Emotional- I want to feel better about myself, no longer hate myself. I want to have control over emotional eating.  Physical-I want to be healthier, I want to be strong, I want to live as long as I can, I want to be able to always play with my precious great nephew, my little man.  Spiritual- I want to cleanse my temple, which I know, will please God. I want to be totally obedient to God, by being healthy. I surrender my entire life to God, all areas. Those are my dreams, and with God's help, they will become realities.

God bless you on your endeavor in becoming a healthier, stronger you! As I grow older, I find that being healthy physically is as important as being healthy all-around. When we are young, we feel we are invincible and growing old is so far away it seems like it may not happen to us. But it does come and God is honored when we honor our bodies. I love my long walks now as well as my fruits and veggies. Can't get enough of them! God bless you...

AMEN! Dream Denise! and may God be with you in each part of this challenge. I should have come here and read this before leaving my prayer for you.

Now you have far too many posts for me to catch up on(just checked I think you've added 3 since the previous 10 I had left to do)but this one is important to you so I started here.

I love your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual goals. My prayer should cover these as well for you (so I will continue to pray and that you will resist or flee from the edge that you know you get close to that you mentioned in your video... I had hoped to come and comment and those)... so love seeing, hearing and listening to you sing. But you know Marsha "borrowed" your song for her Sunday post, I guess both of you were singing about God keep His eye on you... I pray He will... May your dreams become a reality, step by step... don't overdo... I wish you were closer to Marsha too for the support and encouragement also for other reasons. Now I have something new to worry about you for the next 3 months... I will worry, you know... but I am covering that with diligent prayer each morning and evening and whenever God prompts me to for you specifically.
Remember to stay in touch with God, then Marsha and your medical people like Drs.(keep your appts.).

Bless you and your dreams to 120 ONLY, OK?

Love, prayers, and hugs,
Peggy

Praying God will answer all of your dreams, sweet Denise. Just remember you only need to lose down to 120 like the doctor said. You want to stay well and strong. Love and Hugs

I missed this one yesterday, but you have been on my mind and in my prayers. I agree with Peggy and Cathy, get to 120 and stablize. You don't want to over do. God bless you and remember He is right beside you so you can talk to Him while your exercising. Blessings, AE

You know losing the weight isn't all that hard. I thought it was too. I was a tiny 105 up til my 30's then ballooned 60 lbs in 1 yr. Then had trouble trying to get it off ever since. Now that I'm 52 and *was* 204 lbs in Dec. I couldn't take it anymore. Larry was right behind me at 187. But it was much harder on me since I am only 4ft6in. tall. So we decided to work together at this and so far have lost 19 lbs for me and 22 lbs for him in 2 months. We eat 5 times a day, that includes snacks, fruits and even Whoknew cookies. I have tried to post what we have been eating so others can see. We even go out to Subway and get a foot long and eat that as lunch and supper on Saturdays. That's our enjoy day. We do a 10 minute exercise with Josh from Hasfit on Youtube 6 times a week and that's all we are doing. we drink flavored water, green tea or Oregon Chia Tea- which has black tea in it. Which helps your metabolisim to work better. I couldn't afford the price of the Chia Tea all the time so I found a recipe for it. I will post it today. If you have any questions I'll be glad to work through our weight loss with you. I still want to lose 40-50 more yet. That will make me 150-140, I would be happy at that range.
