Marriage Monday-Submission

Some people, really get upset when it comes to the subject of submission in marriage.  But, I don't. The way I look at submission is in this order.  I choose to be submissive to God, and by doing that, that makes me also, choose to be submissive to my husband.  In other words, I want to live my life honoring God, loving Him, and never doing anything to make Him feel, or look dishonored. That is also, the way, I want to treat my husband. I want him, to always feel loved beyond measure, honored, lifted up, never put down.  I want him, to never have to worry about being embarresed, or dishonored, in any way by me. So, being submissive, is something, I gladly choose. I feel, it takes nothing away from my marriage, but adds much.

Right, submission to God comes first and submission to anyone else will be easy.

Oh what a sweet post! I guess you say what we all feel in a nutshell. I know I want my husband's happiness more than I want my own...I guess that's the true face of love and submission is just a small part of that.

God bless you!

Wise words, indeed! I agree. It's a joy, honor, and privilege for me to be submissive to my beloved husband since ultimately it is an obedience to God.

Ms. Denise,

I'm not married yet, and I'm not a hard-core feminist either, but I still struggle with the idea of submission in marriage. I still pray for God's grace.
Afterall, God can change our hearts, can't He? He did with me. :)

Thank you for visiting my blog. God bless you, too.
