About My Doctors Appointment

Hello my friends, how are you?  Praying you are all doing well, and looking forward to your weekend. I was going to make a video for my blog today, but the memory card on my camera is full. So, when Eddie gets home from work today, we are going shopping, and I am getting a new memory card for my camera. Look for a new video on my blog tomorrow.  Yesterday was my doctor appointment with my primary care doctor.  I had not been feeling well this week, hurting in my lower back, peeing alot, and hurting in my stomach. She tested my urine, and I have a very bad urinary tract infection.  Also, in testing my urine, it showed that I was spilling ketones, and alot of glucose.  My blood sugar was 542, and my blood pressure was 162 over 108. She is very concerned about all of that. She changed my blood pressure medcine from 50 mg, to 100mg.  Also changed my insulins, she increased my dose.  It was my high blood sugars that caused my stroke.  She tested my legs, and arms. I am totally numb in my left leg, from the knee down. I am totally numb in my left arm, from the elbow down.  My right leg and arm are fine. She said it will probably stay this way, but that is ok with me. I am thankful to be alive, and I can still walk, talk, and praise God.  She showed me a picture from my most recent MRI. I saw where the 100% blocked artery is, where I had my stroke, where it is swelling, and where the damage from the stroke is. I saw this one area, and asked her, what is that?  She said, it was scar tissue caused from my stroke. I said, will it eventually go away?  She said no, that when I had my stroke, it caused brain cells to die, and the scar tissue covered over that area. The scar tissue will not go away, and the brain cells cannot grow back. How sad, heartbreaking news to me.  But, I will survive, God is with me. He saved my life, that is the most important thing. Thank You Father God.

When my cousin had brain surgery we were told that when brain cells are damaged others take over. Praying for God's grace to cover you, Denise, and to bring you the healing you need.
Blessings!

I'm praying for your healing and complete recovery, as healthy parts of your brain take over the function of those cells affected by the scar tissue.
Love and prayers,
Laurie

Hi Sis
Long time, sorry for that..
News is so intense to hear, that intensity replaced now in grieving the loss. Life that is the gift in it all yes. It is good to see your embracing it.
Your bones must be a challenge however to carry around. I hope that your heart stay strong.
Loving you

It appears that you didn't let the hard facts stop you from praising God. That is such a testimony to me, Denise. I believe God will continue to give you words & health enough to accomplish His purpose - the primary one being HIS GLORY!

I'll look forward to the video.
