Thankful Thursday

Hello everyone, another Thankful Thursday is here. Today, I am thankful for blogging. I have been a part of the blogging world since 2007. I have met so many wonderful friends through blogging, and I love you all.  I have truly shared my life with all of you, no secrets here. Have I been to open? Have I bored you? Are you tired of hearing about my journey, and my health problems? Is it time for me to shut Shortybears Place down?  Or would you like for me to keep it open?  If you would like for me to keep it open, what would you like for me to do different? Please share your honest opinions with me, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Yes, you are a blessing, sweet Denise. You don't need to change a thing. I would certainly miss you, if your weren't here! Love you, Dear

Your posts are full of faith in God and honest truth about yourself. It's a dynamic combination, Denise. I would like to see you keep up the good work, but, having just joined the blogosphere this year, I have found that it really IS a lot of work! So, pray about it and pace yourself, Denise. Do what you feel GOD is calling you to, without guilt from those of us who love your posts. It will ultimately be what is best for you, my bloggy friend.
Many blessings!
Pam

I don't know how many times I've said this, but you ARE an inspiration to most of us...and if you decided to close your blog, I would be one to dearly miss your spirit and joy of life.

KEEP BLOGGING, dear sister!!

You have no idea how powerful your honest vulnerability is, Denise - how your testimony of faith, even when you struggle, is such a blessing.

God needs YOUR voice in Blog Land - and so do we.

I don't think you should change a thing either. Your blog reflects you -

Pray for God's guidance, let Him lead you. But for me, I often find that my blog is one tool that consistently takes me to His feet. That's why I can't give it up - not just now. I think you understand that.

GOD BLESS!

Blessings Denise... WOO HOO! 2007 and going strong! the year before me... but I was lurking in the background an dreading in 2007 just not "blogging" yet.

First off, YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING...
Close down Shortybear's Place... what will I do then? You'd better not be trading this in for Facebook. I will protest FB!
I know you're active there and I don't get that...this is what I get from you besides your lovin' in emails... but that does not count. This is all I got and let's face it... what will Shortybear do? I would be so sad if when you're busy I can't come and enjoy the dance!!! It kept me going when you weren't around to do that... and I waited and I waited and I watched.

Next:
Do not do this this out of discouragement or when you are down... I like what the 1st 3 said and Pam gave good advice... if you are weary, pace yourself, don't lock yourself in to daily blogs, unless you feel up to it.

Third, don't let my opinion or my attitude on my blog influence you, or be contagious... Besides, you can't really close it down, because others come and take over your URL and use it for BAD stuff (that's what I've heard)... you have to put it into safe keeping (privacy while you're MIA or just leave it open like Marsha or you did when you weren't able, but no closing down(.

How would you like it,if God closed down on you? (I guess that's not a very good question)...

Have I been to open? NO, I think that is your genuine self... I love your positive attitude and it's better to have that than other stuff that's out here, you want the enemy to say, "Yehhh, I got her."

Have I bored you? Not at all

Are you tired of hearing about my journey, and my health problems?
NO, no way, how else would I know... and who is going to LIGHT my way along my journey and encourage me.

Is it time for me to shut Shortybears Place down?
NO!!!
but it depends on you and what God says and why?

Or would you like for me to keep it open?
YES! YES! YES!

(continuation of above)

If you would like for me to keep it open, what would you like for me to do different?
NOT ONE THING!
You don't have to change a thing...it should reflect Jesus in you, and you, your life... the good, the bad, and the ugly... OK not so much of the ugly because that could cause some serious dilemmas.

When you don't feel up to it, let it sit a day or two, but let us know... you'll be back soon. Cuz you know I will think the worse and worry. It's hard to tell with you because you moderate comments so they stack up if you're not around. And I can't remember if I wrote or not... if it's too much for you, choose which days... or alternate.

OK, you wanted my opinion and that is it... honest to God! Blog land needs you!
We have no idea whose life we may be touching that does not respond.

Now let me tell you what I read from what you wrote and asked. That you have been at this for quite a while. That it had its season when you met and enjoy many blogging friends (now FB has taken the place of that(grrrr)... short, quick responses, maybe more appealing, because I have seen some of the good seeds you plant there... but know this, I will not join FB or any other one). You love us but maybe aren't feeling loved! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You are open and have not kept secrets (ahhh, c'mon... you have some). You asked if we are bored, so maybe you are.
And then the same on each of the other questions... We don't go out and lead the LOST and when we're almost
there, say "ohhh, goodbye, you have to go it alone now"
"I'm bored,, and I'm tired and there are kinks in my legs from sitting here day after day. It's work how I hate it, I'd much rather play" taken from my memory of one of my favorite books by Dr. Seuss that I did in HS in Speech/Drama.
So did you get my point...
I pray that God opens up the window and let your Light continue to shine but if not... and you hide it under a bushel... or let satan pff it out... you know exactly what you're doing, giving in and letting that scum win...

STOMP and WA HOO... but no way does he win...God is the Victor and we're in His army. So march on, press on and BLOG under you're blue..
I LOVE YOU and so do others.
Rest when you need to but don't quit!
(((hugs)))
Peggy

...that was suppose to be BLOG
UNTIL you're BLUE...
and then BLOG S'MORE...
sing some BLUES, whatever you need to do...
but shut down Shortybear's Place...
never, never, CHOOSE
this 'cuz
we sure would LOOSE
the BEST part of our day...
YOU,YOUR SMILE,YOUR HEART,
the WOO HOO CHEER...and the
BELOVED DANCE!

I am thankful for you, Denise! I'm sorry I hadn't visited your blog for quite some time (not just your blog...I usually don't get much free time to visit blogs). Thank you for visiting mine. You are such a beautiful blessing to us all. We love you the way you are. Honest and real! Encouraging and inspiring!

I believe blogland has spoken in your comments...and I know I can safely say...anyone who has ever visited here would join in with the same vote...

Shortybear's Place is like a haven of rest for weary travelers...where hope and love are shared freely and honestly...and nuggets of God's truths are handed out with a praise-filled smile...

Breaks are fine and needed at times...whether for rest or reflection...or sometimes just for life's situations...but completely closing down Shortybear's Place would be like shutting down...well...a national monument or a local landmark that everyone knows and loves...we would be lost without it...

Call me selfish, but if you need more convincing I would be glad to get a petition going...

Ultimately, you need to follow your heart with the Lord's leading and do what He wants you to do...

We love you, regardless...
