Mission 4 Monday-Chemo Angels

Chemo Angels is a volunteer organization dedicated to adding a ray of sunshine to the lives of those undergoing IV chemo treatment. We believe people going through the physical, emotional, and mental rigors of chemotherapy deserve some encouragement. Many of our Chemo Angel volunteers are cancer survivors themselves, or people whose lives have been affected by cancer in some way. Our common denominator is a desire to brighten the lives of cancer patients while they are going through this challenging time. I love being a chemo angel, it is so rewarding to me. Buying little gifts, and cards that I think will bring a smile to my patients face, makes my heart smile. I love praying for her, and encouraging her. She is going through such a tough time right now, anything I can do to lighten her burden, I want to do. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please go to http://www.chemoangels.net/ and sign up to be a volunteer. You will be so blessed.

That's such a great idea. Kind of like the Soldier's Angel I was involved with once. Happy Belated Birthday to you. Thanks for visiting my site last week during Thankful Thursday. I'm just getting around to repaying the visit to your blog. Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving. Blessings, Kathy

I've never heard of Chemo Angels, but I'd definitely loved to get involved! I have had a lot of cancer in my family, so it's helping those who are battling it is near to my heart. I'll check it out...THANKS for what you do!

Denise, thank you so much for sharing this! I have been looking for something to do -- something that had ties to my life -- in order to do a little giving back and this sounds great. All of my immediate family members who have died have died of cancer so anything I can do to make the lives of these women better is a good thing. I'm off to check out the website now. God bless you!

What a great idea and something wonderful to be a part of. My aunt just finished her chemo therapy treatments for Breast Cancer. She had a lot of great family support, but I know there are also many people going through the same thing without people to encourage them. And attitude can do so much!

Bless you my sweet angel Denise...
as a chemo angel or just for who you are and how you give of yourself!

God sees your precious heart my friend! And your reward in heaven must be some mansion with many jewels in your crown! You have gone through so much but still you are there to help others!

Thank you for sharing this opportunity for many to GIVE at this time of the year! I pray that many come to visit here. I apologize for being late but I was about my Father's work today with Prison Ministry...certainly my least favorite but the need is so great! I'm just not cut out for it!
I know it's a great ministry however...the same with cancer patients & others...you have to look beyond your personal comfort & see people as Jesus sees them. I think watching my adopted daughter go through her IVs for Lupus with the cancer kids really opened my eyes & my heart to the needs of these kids battling life's threatening illnesses. Still there is a part of me that is squimish yet I can understand that I need to not be selfish but meet & treat other's pain & suffering with the love of Jesus!

I know that as you invest & pour Jesus' love into another person that God, the Father sees and pours back into your life. I pray that God pours a Thanksgiving banquet
into your home, since you decided that you needed to let go of this meal because of recent changes in
Lovebug's work! I pray that a miracle happens for you & Eddie!
Even if it's small, that God would prevail in all His glory for your THANKSGIVING table! I know that there are many in this predicament
but I only know one Denise that gives so much to others of herself that somehow God will give back. I know that no one can out give God but it would be nice to see them try!

I love your new THANKSGIVING theme
with the verse in your header! I'm so thankful for you & your heart!
Thank you for continuing to share on Mondays & Sundays in my memes.
It means the world to me! You are a
faithful friend! I'm praying & thanking God for you. Eph. 1:16.

I love you but I'll see you later this week to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm going without a turkey, too & all my favorites. Mexicans just don't celebrate this!
Their turkeys are for Christmas & I'm like you turkey on TT & ham at Christmas!!! May God bless you with both!

Thanks for your Chemo Angels
Mission at Mission 4 Monday! Again I'm sorry that there aren't many participants & that it isn't generating any visitors! This bothers me because both of you today(and usually everyone) share such worthy Missions 4 Monday!

I hope my email comment at great length makes up a bit for the lack!
(and you don't mind)

I am a senior angel. I have been for awhile now. It is the same orginazation. I chose seniors instead of chemo patients. It is such a blessing to me to write a letter or note each week and send a surpise. I am truely enjoying myself.
