Beautiful In His Eyes

I have never felt as if I were an attractive, or even pretty woman. Never beautiful, possibly cute sometimes, lol As I creep ever closer to turning 45, and I look in the mirror at the woman staring back at me, I cry sometimes. Why? I wonder where that woman went that had hair, and even had thick eyebrows? She has been replaced by someone with almost invisible eyebrows, and no hair. What does lovebug see when he truly looks at me now? What does he think? But, I also cry, because my heart fills with such thankfulness to my dear Father, for blessing me with a husband that stands by me through the good, the bad, and the ugly moments of my life. I cry because my Father loves me as I am, He accepts all of my imperfections, I am His. I cry, because I am blessed to be greatly loved by my husband. I said all of this to my dear lovebug last night, really poured my heart out before him. His response to my hearts cry, as always, was truly beautiful. He dedicated a song to me, said this was from his heart, straight to mine. He said, the words were exactly how he had always felt, and now, more than ever. Needless to say, tears flowed like rain, but it was a precious, healing rain. Thank You Father, for blessing me with my forever love, my lovebug. All day today, this song will play on my blog. Here are the words:

Beautiful in My Eyes

By: Joshua Kadison

You're my peace of mind in this crazy world.
You're everything I've tried to find, your love is a pearl.
You're my Mona Lisa, you're my rainbow skies,
and my only prayer is that you realize
you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

The world will turn and the seasons will change,
and all the lessons we will learn will be beautiful and strange.
We'll have our fill of tears, our share of sighs.
My only prayer is that you realize
you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

You will always be beautiful in my eyes.
And the passing years will show
that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes.

When there are lines upon my face from a lifetime of smiles,
and when the time comes to embrace for one long last while,
we can laugh about how time really flies.
We won't say goodbye 'cause true love never dies.
You'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

You will always be beautiful in my eyes.
And the passing years will show
that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes.
The passing years will show that you will always grow
ever more beautiful in my eyes.

Our hubbies married us for what was INSIDE not what was on the OUTSIDE!! I know sometimes that blows me away too but we have to realize that love comes from the inside not the outside..that is IF it is really TRUE LOVE...

Wow. What a beautiful moment. What a godsend lovebug is. If we could only see ourselves through the eyes of a loved one or see us covered in the blood of Christ. I have never seen a pic of you and I can say that you are beautiful right along with lovebug because of your kind, giving, loving and generous heart. I turned 45 five months back...I understand. I am so glad lovebug got you looking at the eternal and not the temporal. Hugs to you!

Om my goodness, did that ever get me choked up this morning! How sweet!

It is so easy, especially for us women, to look in the mirror and see nothing but imperfections and a longing to be how we were when we were younger. Thank goodness, though, that we have ones who love us and a God who loves us, in spite of all our imperfections, flaws and shortcomings. What a blessing!

Take a look in your mirror, again, and see, REALLY see just how beautiful you are!

This is beautiful! I've never heard this song.
Beauty comes from within and you are a beautiful person. Love does not see faults. It is truly wonderful thing to have a life partner who knows us and sees us for who we are. I'm so happy that you have this special love. We are truly blessed!

This should've come with a tissue warning. Wowzer. Okay, you--you and me--we, His princesses--are HIs Poster Child. He just sees your beautiful, Holy-Spirit filled heart.

And by the way, your encouragement at the Cafe came to me on the perfect day when I was feeling discouraged too. God has really gifted you with the gift of encouragement. What a blessing you are to so many each and every day!

Okay....someone get me a kleenex! This song is just beautiful!

I have found that we as women will never be completely satisfied with the way we look. When I was in high school, I complained about being too skinny and no figure at all. Now, I am so not happy with the tummy that I have grown over the last few years and sometimes do not like looking at my body in the mirror. However, I know that my body is beautiful in God's eyes and that's all that matters.

Blessings to you today you beautiful woman!

You are beautiful in the eyes of many and in the eyes of God! And very much so in the eyes of your Lovebug. He is just too sweet! He reminds me alot of Steve. I'm a big girl so I have size-esteem issues sometimes, and Steve makes me feel beautiful, as does God. Precious post, sweetie!

You know...from what I've heard, Jesus wouldn't be considered handsome at all by today's standards. Dare I say, He'd be considered ugly and dirty? And look at the humble, dare I say, disgusting circumstances in which He was born. A manger? For our Savior?

And yet...isn't He the most beautiful One in our lives?

You are beautiful to me.
