Thankful Thursday

My heart is so full of praise for my dear Saviour. If it were not for Him, and His precious love and care for me, I would be totally lost in this world. Recently, things have not been going very well. My health is a battle right now, fighting two major infections, and my diabetes. Also, people have been very rude to me about my hair(I should say, lack of hair). They look at me with such disdain, point, and laugh. It takes me back to my school days, recess was always pure hell for me. The kids would all make fun of my weight, and would not let me play games. They said I was too fat, that I would cause an earthquake. Instead, they pushed me around, and always made me cry. I did not realize that adults could be just as cruel as those school kids were back then. It seems like all I ever do is cry, cry, cry. My dear lovebug is so good to me, he loves me just the way I am. I praise God for my husband. But, I do feel sorry for all that he has to deal with being married to me. Thank You Lord for being close to me, and for always drying my tears. There are times that you even cry with me, tear for tear. Your heart beating in time with my own, is what keeps me going on. All that matters is love, and I know that I have the love of my Lord, and my lovebug. What else could I possibly need?? Bless you all.

For you we give praise that in the midst of whatever you are going through He will lift you up. Remember my sister you sit in heavenly places. Whoever made up the saying 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me' was in denial. It does hurt! And it stays around for a long time. But praise God we have a Savior who has redeemed us from the pit and the depths of despair.

I love you and think you are beautiful both inside and out.

Praying for you, sweetie.

Blessings Denise...just like I posted my thankfulness for a special friend, you have also: Jesus and your Lovebug! What would we do without special FRIENDS like that! It's so wrong that adults are as rude as children and have not learned any better how to love and treat ALL with respect! Keep loving these enemies that need Jesus! I'm sorry for all the pain and hurt they cause your tender Shortybear heart! Chimi says Thanks for leaving him a good word!
And I also send my thanks and prayers for speedy recovery of those infections & for your comments at both places on my blog!
God be with you and God bless your Lovebug!!!

Denise,

Sister, I'm praying for your health. I don't like it when people are unkind! I have someone in my life that are so very ugly at this moment too. It is hurtful. Stand tall because you are beautiful, inside and out and don't let anyone tell you any thing different.

Have a great day!
Cheryl

I am so glad that our worth is not tied up in how we appear or ourhealth or even in what we do but it is hidden in Christ. I wish I could give you a great big hug sweet sister. I am so sorry that things aren't going well right now. I feel as if I can relate to that. And I commiserate with you. I lift you before the throne room and I know He sees you. I know He loves you. I know His will, although at times discombobulating to our spirits, is good ,acceptable, and perfect. I am so glad God gave you your lovebug. A great big hug for him too.

Oh, Denise!!

I hope you're feeling better soon!!

Always remember and be thankful that God loves you just as you are!! Those people who fingerpoint, etc., are just plain rude, and it's obvious that they don't have the Lord in their lives.
We'll need to include them in our prayers.

You are so right--it's just like being back in school and being the last one picked for the team--that was me.

Look to the Lord for strength through this time. He loves each and everyone of us.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day and feel better soon.

May you feel God's presence in your life today and everyday, feel His loving arms wrap around and comfort you.

Denise, I'm crying right along with you as I read your post. I too have some painful memories from grade school but I think God used those painful times to make me the person I am today. I believe showing people love and respect is our Christian duty and I always strive to do that. I pray that you are feeling better soon. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Sorry Denise, that you have to go through that-you're right, though, that adults can be even more hurtful that children.
God bless you.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
(Thank you so much for the lovely words you left for Miranda.)

Oh,Denise, I am so sorry about your battles right now. Yes, adults can be just as cruel as children. Not many have compassion left, because they do not know the Lord.
I am thankful with you that you can find comfort, love and peace in the love of our Lord and your beloved.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us, despite the battles you are finding yourself in.

Be blessed today and you always bless others with your loving heart.

Shortybear, reading your post today, a thought occurred to me. I highly doubt that your husband even thinks about it as things "he has to put up with being married to you." If he is as you describe, that thought would never cross his mind. What I suspect is though that it breaks his heart to see you let it get to you. The enemy will use anyone to discourage us but the Word tells us like it is. If God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made then you are fearfully and wonderfully made. It doesn't matter what other folks think. Besides, its only out of their own insecurities that they act the way they do. I feel sorry for them, don't you?

Debra Kaye said...

My sweet sister,

I could not stop the tears as I read this post. Hurtful actions of others tend to be harmful to tender spirits. I have sat and read all of the other posts too and it seems like we are all in positions where people have hurt us and we can only reach "up" and cry out to the Lord for solace.

I was a cheerleader in high school and got along really well with everyone. It was not until I became a Christian that I began to experience that 'drama'. The comparison factor, etc. God chaser said it best...those people are living in fear and we must pray for them and armor ourselves up...for rest assured, God does not look upon those that divide or hurt us with favor.

Wipe your tears, sister...look at those God has given you to encourage and bear the burden with you...we all love you!! Maybe we will shave our heads with you and wear bandanas and all get together and take a picture! Wouldn't God just love that!! (I told you I was a cheerleader)

Oh hun know you are being lifted up to our Father in prayer. Words do hurt deeply and I am so sorry that you not nly experienced this pain as a child (I remember those days too) but are now having to go through it again. Adults can be cruel. I too am very thankful that our Lord loves us just as we are. His love can flush all our pain away and fill the void with His infinite mercy and grace. Have a blessed Thankful Thursday. Big hugs.

Denise, I am so sorry you are going thru this difficult time. People can be so mean. Shame on them! We have a good Christian friend who has a problem like your's. At church she doesn't wear anything on her head but when I met her at a church reunion, she wore hats. She is such a beautiful person that lack of hair does not matter. Hope this helps you. I will pray that folks stop being so careless with your feelings.

It's so sad how mean even adults can be. I wonder how they would feel if they walked in your shoes for even just one hour? But, we don't need to dwell on those who hurt others. Your Father in Heaven is right there with you and hubby, and of course, all your blogging friends. :)

I cannot even imagine the insecurities that would come bubbling up to the surface if I lost my hair right now! I am so thankful you have an incredible husband by your side! I read something that reminded me of this. A lady said, "I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice." You may have unwelcomed attention from mean people, but you also have the extra attention of God who has a soft spot for hurting people.
One other thing came to mind. I too have had lots of tears as of late. I read this, "Tears are powerful. They give us an outlet when we think we will burst with pain, hurt, betrayal, loneliness, loss or disappointment. They provide comfort for those who need someone to weep with them. Most important, the tears of sorrow and heartbreak matter intimately to the heart of God."
You've kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights. Each tear entered in you ledger, each ache written in your book. ~ The Psalmist
Hope this brings some comfort to you today. Blessings, Rebecca

It seems as if we share some similar memories from elementary school. Life can be so rough.....but what they chose to sow into our lives....they will also reap. Wonder if they are living with a man as great as Eddie? Hmmmm...interesting thought.

I love ya girl......this Maw Maw loves you just as you are. :)

Denise,

Praying for you. Isn't wonderful that God loves us just as we are. I once heard a saying "hearting people, heart people" People who make fun of others are just trying to make themselves feel better or hide their own problems. Sorry they have been mean to you. Just know that you are loved.
