In Other Words Tuesday

Not too long ago, the foundation of my life came crumbling down. I sat there in the ruins, looking around at what was left of my life. Bits and pieces of shattered memories, deep rooted hurts, and darkness. I had a decision to make, I could sit there in my tormented past, and basically rot away. Or, I could pick myself up, dust myself off, and call out to my Saviour, to help me redesign my life. Well, I refused to give up, so I quickly made that call. Jesus came running to help me, as always. It has been awesome working as His apprentice, as He rebuilds my foundation brick by brick. He replaced my sorrows with joy, my mourning with gladness, my self hatred with love, my weakness with strength. He relieved me of my burdens, by sharing the load. He did not promise me that my foundation will be perfect, He said there will be times when trials, and tribulations of this world, will possibly cause cracks to seep in. But, He assured me, that He will always be nearby, to do any repairs that are needed. I praise my Saviour for His wonderful handiwork in my life.

Denise,

This post is so transparent and real. Thank you for sharing the tremendous work God is doing in your life. The humility it takes to surrender our broken foundations and shattered lives to God is no easy thing coming, but it is well worth the price of pride that we lay down. God's glory is better than anything we could ever hope to gain for ourselves. Thank you for the comment on my post. Press on sweet sister and be blessed.

Love ya.

It sounds like you've been through some difficult trials. It's wonderful how God can heal those past hurts. I love how you always give God the glory, no matter what. You're a great example.

I know you have so many things against you and it would be easy to just give up but you won't!! You know that is not what God wants for us as his children. I will be praying for you. Sandy
