Lies Women Believe Book Study-Assignment 3

Assignment 3
Reading:Read Chapter Two on pages 45-62.
Questions:In some of the questions I've written, I have put the page numbers in parenthesis where you can find the answer to that question. These questions are not from the companion guide this time. If you'd like a more in depth study, I would encourage you to purchase the companion guide for this book.
1. How is what we believe shown in our life's? (see pg. 46) We show what we believe, by the way we live our life's.
2. What are two important questions we need to ask ourselves as we read about these lies? (see pg. 46) 1)Do I believe this lie? 2) Do I live as though I believe this lie?
3. Have you ever found yourself thinking God isn't good? Explain. Yes, during my 16 year struggle with infertility, and then having to have a total hysterectomy when I was 36, knowing my dream to be a mom was gone forever. There were times when I thought, if God were a good God, He would let me get pregnant. But, my God is always good. He never makes mistakes, He knew what was in my future. My momma became very ill, and she moved in with me. I became her caregiver until she passed away two years ago. God knew that my momma would need me, more than I needed children.
4. Have you ever thought that God would love you more if you participated in some ministry, read your Bible every single day, sang in the church choir, ___________(you fill in the blank), etc.? I am sure, that I probably have thought that before. But, I know that my God loves me, not for anything that I have done, or will do, He loves me because I am His.
5. Have you believed what "Sarah" in Chapter Two believed which was "...to eat what she wanted, whenever she wanted, and in whatever quantities she wanted..." (pg. 56 of our text)? Yes, I have used food as a comfort, and a hiding place. But, the best place to find comfort, and to hide away for awhile, is in my precious Saviours arms. Memory Verses:
"'Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" - John 8:32 (NIV)
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free..." - Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

There are so many lies around. The press, the TV, the movies are full of lies. But I think the hardest part is 2/2: How not to live as though believing those lies.
Blessings to you, dear, thoughtful friend.

*hugs* Dear Sister, very humbling and encouraging as always! It's so true that the hardest part is trusting God in His wisdom and understanding He isn't trying to withhold anything from us but rather to help us make life a little easier in an already demanding world.

God bless you for this awesome post!
