Lies Women Believe Book Study-Assignment 1

Assignment 1
Read the Introduction on pages 15-23.
Questions-1. As you begin this book study, where do you see yourself in relation to living in freedom? Do you feel like you are walking in total freedom? Explain: No, I do not feel like I am walking in total freedom, I have feelings of insecurity that I need to work on.
2. Write out John 10:10 in your favorite translation. After you've written it out, personalize it.
John 10:10- The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Personalized: The thief comes to steal, kill, and to try to destroy me. Jesus comes to give me life, and to help me live my life to the fullest.

3. What do you think living abundantly in Christ means? What do you think it looks like? I think living abundantly in Christ means living a well rounded full life, totally&wholly dependant upon Christ. I think it looks like the Son shining.

Hi Denise! The Mr. Linky on my post wasn't working. I'm glad you left a comment. I haven't had much time to read everybody's posts today. I'm looking forward to sitting down tonight after the children go to bed and read everyone's post.

I'll be back soon.

You are right, Denise. The enemy really likes to steal our joy in Christ. The enemy doesn't like it that we are His children and likes to put thoughts in our head that make us insecure - I know - I have to battle this often myself.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Be blessed today and always.

I love the way you speak your heart so clearly. Me, I write a book to say what you just said!

I love you, my friend and can't wait to see what He is going to do through this study in all of our lives.

Rest well.

'You're gonna shine for Jesus if you can stand the polishing,' is a saying I've often heard. That comes to mind now after reading your post. I suppose the polishing is choosing to believe the Truth over the lie, and/or the correction we receive when we don't. The shine is living the abundant life that looks like the SON is shining! I like that picture I have in my mind. I want to shine for Jesus too! :D

You said, "I think it looks like the Son shining." I agree. When people look at us, who do they see? Do they see little 'ole me in my flesh trying to live this thing called life? Or do they see Jesus shining through me helping me live this thing called life?

Take care,
Karen

Hey girl-
He is all that the word says he is.
What a mess he can try to make of our lives when we don't know and act on the TRUTH.
Keep being that light in a dark world. :)
