Day Twelve: "With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love." Eph. 4:2
Part of the difficulty you may face as you continue in this 30-day challenge to encourage your husband is that you really are struggling to find positive things to praise. Perhaps the problem is not with your husband. Have you checked your own heart?
Sometimes we get disillusioned because of our own unreasonable or unrealistic expectations (Prov. 13:12). It may not be that our mates are doing something wrong; it's simply that we expect too much in some areas. Our expectations must be met in God alone, and then we will have the right perspective to ask God for the healing and grace we need to respond to others.
How sad that we give more grace to others than to those in our own homes. Today, try to look at your husband through eyes of grace. Verbally thank your husband for what he is already doing. : I am so thankful for my husband, and the special way he takes care of me. I have various health problems, and he is so understanding about all of them. He treats me with tender loving care. I praise You Lord for sending Eddie into my life. Please bless him with many beautiful blessings, he is so deserving of them.

You don't know how much I needed this post today. I really need to rethink my own heart and being so judgemental of my hubby.
Such wonderful truths!
Just stopping in to say hello!
I also want to thank you for this post today.
Hugs,
Sheila
This is very appropriate.
I give so much more slack or grace to others than I do my husband on a consistent basis.
When Keith came in today from work and he was so tired....my heart hurt for him. Life has been rough but He moves on. I too love the way my husband takes care of us.
And in those areas where he is not perfect--well I am not either.
God has given us good men.;)
