The Year Of Romance-Feburary

I, Eddie, take you Denise, to be my lawfully wedded wife,to have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer,in sickness and in health,to love and to cherish;from this day forward, until death do us part.: Wow, my husband has definitely spent alot of time fulfilling the vow of taking care of me through sickness recently. I praise God for blessing my life with Eddie. He is such a soothing balm to my weary soul. He is my guide through life, now that my eyes have become so dim. On Saturday night, we celebrated Valentines Day. We went to our favorite resturant, and had a delicious meal. After we got home, I got very sick with my gastoparisis, due to nerve damage in my stomach caused by my diabetes. Eddie took such gentle loving care of me, he ran me a warm bubble bath, lit candles all around the tub, and had soft music playing. He helped me into the tub, and then just left me alone to relax. It was such a heavenly bath, truly relaxing. When I got out of the tub, he dried me off, helped me get dressed, and led me into our bedroom. He had candles lit in our room, and rose petals laying all over the bed, smelled divine. He then looked into my eyes and said the following words: Honey, I love you with all of my heart, will you be my lifetime valentine? I am so sorry that you are not feeling well, I am praying for you to get better. Please do not think that all of this is a setup for sex. I did this because I love you, and I want you to feel that love. Now, just lay down in the garden that I created for you, and rest. I was deeply touched by such a beautiful act of true love. I could barely speak, I hugged him to me, and told him thank you, and how very much I loved him. Then, the two of us snuggled up, and went to sleep in our own personal garden made of love.

Goodness our God is so faithful to give us just what we need. God bless your man for loving you as Christ loved the church.
Marriage is not perfect all the time but those times make it soooooo worth it.

No way! That is so amazing. Men are not typically prone to such clear expressions of themselves. Keep that guy! Lovely post!

You two are so sweet, Denise! I am so glad you have someone by your side like this, especially as you face these very serious health challenges.

Thanks for letting others see into how marriage can be in difficult times.

Keeping you in prayer,
