Delighting In The Details

This week I have delighted in the details of sweet love. I have not been feeling very well this week, and my husband has been so attentive to me. Yesterday morning, he was my hero. My blood sugar dropped to 36, and I almost lost consciousness. Eddie took control of the situation, thank God. I do not really remember anything, except sweating very badly, and feeling as if I were fading away. When he got my blood sugar back up, and I finally began to feel better, I looked into his eyes. What I saw there, was true heart to heart love reflecting back at me. He was so loving to me, holding me in his arms, rubbing my hair. He kept telling me over and over that he loved me. I am doubly blessed to be loved by my dear Saviour, and by my precious husband. Thanks Lord for delighting my heart with such sweet love.

Denise,

I am so sorry to hear that your Blood Sugar dropped so low. I can see and hear how much you love your dear hubby and am grateful that he is such a great guy!

I don't know all the details, but I have "heard" that you have been battling some sickness and stuff.

Do you mind if I ask a personal question? Are you diabetic? My oldest son (13) is diabetic and when I saw your B/S number my heart jumped a bit. That is a terrifying place to be...when our son was diagnosed it was as a result of a trauma and he spent 51 days in the PICU and during that time he became insulin dependent.

Just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers...

Take Care Friend,
Melissa

Denise,

Our scale for measuring blood glucose levels is much different than your. Normal levels are between 4 and 7. Once mine dropped to 2. I was shaking all over and couldn't figure out why. Now I know what to watch for.

Low blood glucose levels are very dangerous. Be careful my friend. I know yours were very high not long ago. Are they within the normal range now?

Well, before I knew you weren't well, I tagged you for a meme. Please don't feel you must take part.

Blessings,
Mary

You have such a wonderful husband, Denise. He saved your life!! If that is not a detail to delight in, I don't know what is!! You are such a strong lady and God has really blessed you with Eddie. Those of us with wonderful husbands forget that not every woman is so lucky. You truly are one of the blessed ones!!

Good Morning Denise,
Oh my goodness, I am so glad that Eddie was there to take care of you and help you to get your blood sugar back up. "PRAISE GOD" for such a wonderful and loving husband you have. It is such a great feeling to be able to look into our husband's eyes and just see the love they have for us. I'm going to have to make me an appointment this week so I can have mine checked also. It's time for my new prescriptions and I have to see the doctor before she can give me some more. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. Take care of yourself my dear friend.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
