Last week I chose to memorize: Jeremiah 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction. This verse is very dear to my heart, especially at this time in my life. God is my refuge, and because of Him, I have strength to face my health challenges daily. Such a mighty fortress to me is He, and I praise Him for that. This week I will be memorizing: It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you, or forsake you. Do not fear, or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

If we could always remember and truly believe that He has gone before us --life would be so much easier.
Where He is there is peace and the ground He touched would be Holy--what more could I hope for? A place especially prepared for me. And you. :)
I hope to get to my verse this afternoon- don't have time this morning.
Talk to ya later.
Great verse Denise. One to hold onto and cling to.
Aaahhh....soothes my heart.
This is a wonderful verse!! I love it!! It needs to be deep in our hearts!! Love and hugs Carolyn
I don't always grasp the greatness of God going before me. As I read the verse you shared I thought of a jungle hike (for some reason) and the tour guide leading his group through uncharted territory. He had a machete to cut down obstacles on the way, would watch out for snakes, traps or dangers and then lead his group on - how much more then will God do for us as he goes ahead and makes 'our paths straight'. My heart is full for you Denise - truly your grace and love of God challenge me to the core, in the midst of great struggles you worship at his feet. Oh if only you knew how much your life is impacting others, touching lives. I pray that God shows you the most amazing treasures Denise!
