Happy Saturday Everyone

Happy Saturday everyone, praying for you all to have a wonderful day in the Lord today. Eddie had to work 10 hours Wednesday&Thursday, and he is having to work 10 hours today. He had to be at work at 4:00A.M., and will get off at 2:00P.M. It is 5:30A.M. right now in Chattanooga, I am wide awake. I have been really restless recently, not able to sleep very well. Since I have been home from my recent trip to the hospital a few weeks ago, my blood sugars are acting crazy. Where they were staying extremely high, now they keep dropping extremely low, both things are very dangerous for a diabetic. My Doctor said my blood sugar should be no higher than 120 when I first get up in the morning, and before each meal. Two hours after a meal, it should be no higher than 170, and same number at bedtime. It should never be lower than 90, well all week long my blood sugar has been lower than 90. It has been 67,52,50,62 ect. I really do not feel well, and my eyes hurt so bad, the pain is getting worse. I go to my eye Doctor Tuesday afternoon, I would appreciate your prayers. Thanks for letting me ramble on about all of this. I am not complaining, there are so many people in this world hurting way worse than I am. I thank God for every breathe He blesses me with, my life is in His hands, and that my friends, is the best place to be.

Girl I wish you lived closer--you could come hang out and i could take care of you too. Paw Paw is a diabetic but not as sever I think as you. Are you eating well?
Fresh veggies?
You are in Chattanooga right?
I have a brother that lives there.
I would LOVE to be in the mountains.
Do you have some friends close by?
I am glad you at least have your computer to "get out". I have been secluded because of Paw Paw-so not saying I totally understand the eye issues-but I feel for you.
How about your church? Is there a womens group? You have so much to offer other women.
Well that is enough taking up your comment area.
I am cooking for tomorrows dinnner on the grounds at church. About the only things you could eat that I have fixed would be the brisket.:)
I shouldn't be eating any of the rest of the stuff.:)
When you go to the doctor on Tuesday are they going to be able to do anything about the pain?

My prayers are with you, Denise!

You may have to look at the glycemic index ( the lower the number and the type of carbs)for the right carbs that will stay with you longer.

I have passed on an award to you...please stop by to pick up the button and details.

Have a weekend with lots of love and laughter!

Sorry about your blood sugars. I know when they fall how scary that can be!!!

If they fall to low then You do feel sick the next day and then I eat to much and gets it to high and etc... In a circle we go..I know how this can feel!!
I am praying for you every day!! Love you, Carolyn

Denise,

You're right. This is extremely dangerous. Please be very careful and keep a sharp eye on your blood glucose levels.

In Canada, we read glucose levels differently. Anything over 7.5 is diabetes. Anything over 10 is not acceptable. For awhile mine were 16 and once when I had an ear infection they went to 21. Because of the infection, the doctor wasn't extremely worried, but gave me antibiotics. My blood sugar usually runs between 7 and 9, but I take it several times a say. A couple of times it's been extremely low - 2.9 and 3. That is when the shakes come on and you definitely need something to up your levels.

I will keep you in my prayers. If things get out of hand, be sure to see a doctor.

Smiles,
Mary

Hi Denise, as a diabetic I know what you are talking about. I will be praying for you. I hope the eye doctor will be able to help you too. I am late getting around and missed your Thankful Thursday. I am so sorry. But I enjoy and read all your posts when I visit. I too love Christmas and I pray that Christmas will return to the simply celebration of the birth of our Savior. I detests all the commericalism that is associated with it. We had slacked up a lot of our gift giving in favor of making it a more spiritual time of celebration. I do love the christmas music and decorations. But some are out now and this is way way to early. *smiles* Love and Blessings.
