In Other Words Tuesday

They gave our Master a crown of thorns. Why do we hope for a crown of roses?”~ Dr. Martin Luther: I have diabetes, which affects every part of my body. Right now, at the age of 43, I am dealing with heart problems, kidney problems, nerve damage, vision problems. I could go sit down in the corner, and cry buckets of tears, and scream out to God. I could ask Him, why me? Give me a break, I am physically, and mentally tired. But, I refuse to do that. I will bear, whatever I need to bear. Do you think our precious Lord, enjoyed hanging on that cross? No, but He endured all of that suffering for us, He loves us that much. So, how could I possibly think about complaining, or asking Him to remove my thorn? I love You Lord, thank You for the thorns, it makes the roses in my life even sweeter.

Great post. Reminded me of watching the movie The Passion of Christ. It was hard to watch Jesus suffering such injustice and pain...makes my suffering so much smaller.

Your post reminded me of the song, Through it all...

I've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
There've been times I didn't know right from wrong:
But in every situation God gave blessed consolation
That my trials come to only make me strong.

Through it all, through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God;
Through it all, through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.

Praying for that blessed consolation for you today...

Well what can I say to all of that that has not already been said. Know that if you ever do need to just sit in a corner and weep that He will be there holding you and weeping right along with you.
All things in perspective. We are so blessed Denise. We have peace, love and a greater consolation.
Be embraced thanks for the sweet kindnesses. I think that it is for us also tho help each other bear the weight as did a simple man help our Lord hold up that heavy cross member as her struggled through the throng. Remember he received a little help too. Remember how much that soul that carried it for him has been honored throughout the history of days for doing so. He mattered in the picture of this grater epic too.

Even though I am a Christian and have been for years and years now I have never had that kind of mentality. I want to have it and at times I can attain it but then the reality hits!! I know the pain that you suffer!! I pray for you so much!! God will see you through this Denise..
