In Other Words Tuesday

The worth and excellency of a soul is to be measured by the object of its love." a Henry Scougal quote (from The Life of God in the Soul of Man ), quoted by John Piper in The Pleasures of God.:What do you love? Is your heart filled with love for worldly things? Are you addicted to shopping? Or is your addiction the computer, or other electronic gadgets? What do you fill your soul up with? Do you fill it up with chocolate, or some other type of food? Well, if you answered yes to any of these questions, your soul will always be an empty vessel. Your love will never measure up, it will always come up empty. My friends, love the Lord Your God with everything you have, fill your soul up with Godly things, not worldly things. With every breathe I take, I want to breathe in the goodness of my Lord. Exhale the entrapment's of the world, inhale the grace, and freedom of the Lord.

Breathe in, Breathe out. We are all one breath away from eternity may we make it count and let all we inhale be that of God. Thanks for sharing.

Amen, nothing will fill us up; only the Bread of life can do that. Everything is in vain.

Blessings.

Denise - I am so thrilled that you are doing well after your surgery - PTL.
You are right, if we fill our bodies with things of this world we always will come up empty. No riches of this world can replace the logging He has put into our hearts.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Be blessed today and always....
