Pray for those that hurt you

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” —1 John 4:11 : It is easy to pray for those that love us, and keep us in their prayers, but what about those that do not love us, and hurt us with their words, or actions every opportunity they have to do so? My friends, they are the ones that need our love, compassion, and prayers the most. They are lashing out at us from their deep seeded pain. They hurt, so they want us to hurt. They do not have a precious Saviour to take everything in prayer to, like we do. We need to keep them surrounded with prayer, praying especially for God to soften up their hearts, and for them to be saved. Their hurting hearts, need a healing touch from our Saviour. Dear heavenly Father, bless all those hurting hearts, that are lashing out in anger, towards others today. May they hear Your sweet voice calling out to them, come home all who are weary, come home.

Hi Denise, Your post is good as it always is!!
Sometimes it is really hard to pray and forgive those who have hurt us deeply.
I know after being married for almost 23 years, when the kids Dad left and married someone else it wasn't easy!!
That was 28 years ago.
It took a while but I was able to forgive and go on! God has been with me every step of the way!!

Yes.......I've always heard it said that those that are the most unloveable are the ones that need the most love.
We definitely need God's grace and mercy to be able to do this.

Oh Denise,

This is so beautiful. There are so many hearts in pain today. Thank you for bringing them before Christ. Love you, me

Hurt people hurt people.
I absolutely agree. Wounds can leave souls like an infected mass. All pussy and putrid. The salt stings as it cleansed. It takes a lot for another to trust you enough to pour salt gently lovingly and even watered down enough so as not to sting too badly.
I'm sorry to hear of the betrayal grams.
Is your surgery Friday Denise?.

This is a very good post. It is only the Christ's love that we are able to forgive those that hurt us.

Dear one, My Beloved and I went to sleep praying with and for you and your husband last night. We now this is a hard battle. With swords drawn we stand with you. At your side and at your back you are surrounded. It is now that the fellows around you are the company who are with you as we are all equipped for the battle ahead. Remember you two, We WIN> This a skirmish that will have a price and a gain. We desire the greatest gain to be yours.
