Do you have any friends, or relatives that seem to only come around you when they need something? Otherwise, they have nothing to do with you. How does that make you feel? It probably hurts your feelings, and makes you feel a little bit used. Not a good feeling is it? Well, imagine how God feels when you run to Him when you are going through trials, and you cry out to Him, begging Him to help you. He always comes through for you with love and comfort. But, after the trial is over, and you are living in victory, how often do you seek God out with all of your heart? How many times do you get up in His lap for some Father-daughter time? Not often, right? That deeply griefs His heart, He longs for fellowship with you. He wants you to come to Him, and pour your heart out, not just when you need something from Him, but just because you want to share your day with Him. He loves you, and He wants to know that you love Him too.

Denise, you could write one of those devotional books for sure!! Sandy
Are we all guilty of doing this or just me??? He answers are prayers and we do so good for a season and then we don't fellowship for a little while and it shows!! Then we start the cycle all over!!
Very good Post!
You know, I've never thought of it that way. I know I've been guilty of this in the past, thanks for reminding me of this!
I agree - you should write a devotional book!! Your faith is awe inspiring and your words flow from the Spirit...Something to pray on :)
Lots of love to you!
Don't I know it! I tell Him all the time I don't want to only seek Him when I need something. I pray for that same fire and passion I had for Him so many years ago. Thank you for the reminder.
And thanks for stopping by my blog! =)
God Bless!
